Chapter 69: Fleur

"Erwin! Your idea is a direction I've never thought about."

Nicolas Flamel was extremely excited at this moment.

Erwin's operation truly amazed Nicolas Flamel.

He hadn't expected that dream magic would actually be used by him in alchemy.

This was a method no one had ever conceived.

And the effect was surprisingly excellent.

Even though Nicolas Flamel's household alchemy might seem spiritual, it was like a set program.

Like this air conditioner made by Nicolas, he had added a cooling magic pattern during creation, and also used magic to craft some spirits.

This air conditioner would always remain as such; it could only follow the set functions and the creator's will to work and communicate.

Erwin's method, however, brought infinite possibilities.

They could learn and evolve.

Seeing the 600-year-old man so excited, Erwin was afraid he might not catch his breath.

He hastily motioned for Nicolas not to be so animated, suggesting they could speak slowly.

For half the day, Erwin discussed with Nicolas the process of creating Minions and some of the problems he had encountered.

Nicolas listened to Erwin's narration, nodding from time to time, and when Erwin mentioned the problems he faced, he also gave his own advice and insights with precision.

The old and the young discussed in this living room until evening, when the house-elves came to inform them that dinner was ready.

Erwin and Nicolas stopped their communication with sighs of satisfaction.

Nicolas truly deserved to be a person who stood at the pinnacle of alchemy. Erwin had achieved much this afternoon, which was completely more effective than reading books alone for an entire month.

Nicolas felt the same way.

Erwin's alchemical thinking, combined with Muggle programming concepts, was undoubtedly novel to him, having always lived in the wizarding world.

This also broadened his mind and gave him the urge to retreat and experiment.

Naturally, the relationship between the two of them had become excellent during this afternoon, forming what seemed like a year-long friendship.

At dinner, Erwin also met Nicolas's wife, Madame Perenelle.

As soon as the elderly lady saw Erwin, she took an immediate liking to him, constantly asking if Erwin had a girlfriend, and if he did, would he mind having more girlfriends.

This made Erwin blush deeply.

'I'm just a kid, I don't need multiple girlfriends…yet,' he thought.

For the following period, Erwin lived in Nicolas Flamel's house.

During these days, Nicolas had regarded Erwin as his close student.

All the books in the house were open to him, and he even taught Erwin how to create the Philosopher's Stone.

He believed that Erwin's talent in alchemy far surpassed his own, and he had even deliberately considered making Erwin his heir.

Nicolas Flamel was an old relic who had lived for more than 600 years.

His family's collection of books could be described as extraordinarily rich, far exceeding that of all pure-blood families.

There were also many alchemy books and magical texts here that weren't available at Hogwarts.

Erwin felt like a fish in water, spending every day immersed in the library, absorbing knowledge voraciously.

From time to time, he could also ask Nicolas about problems he encountered himself.

Even his three meals a day and daily life were taken care of by the elves in the castle.

In a short period of time, Erwin's magical level and alchemical skills had made tremendous progress, causing Nicolas to sigh repeatedly.

"What a little monster."

Erwin's daily life was very fulfilling, but this also caused Madame Perenelle some complaints.

What kind of situation was it for such a charming child to spend every day in the library and laboratory? She had even quarreled with Nicolas about it.

Nicolas jokingly complained to Erwin about this when they were experimenting together.

Seeing the elderly lady caring about him so much, Erwin was very moved, though he was also somewhat amused.

He had been an orphan in two lifetimes, but he felt long-lost familial love here, which made Erwin quite content.

Time passed.

Erwin, as usual, was sitting in the library reading "Synopsis of Medieval Dark Magic."

The house-elf Sean suddenly appeared before him.

"Master Erwin, Madame has asked you to come to the Assembly Hall."

Sean spoke respectfully to Erwin, his tone carrying a bit more warmth than before.

After this period of time, Sean had come to understand that Erwin was essentially Nicolas's heir, in other words, his young master.

Therefore, his tone had become less formal than before and more affectionate.

"What did Madame Perenelle say?"

"There are some guests from Beauxbatons. The lady would like you to meet them."

After Erwin heard this, he was somewhat puzzled.

What did Beauxbatons have to do with him?

As one of the three magical schools in Europe, Beauxbatons was located in France.

The Flamel family was also a shareholder of the school. Their people coming to visit here didn't surprise Erwin, but why ask him to go there?

However, since the elderly lady had called for him, and he had grown tired of reading books, he decided to go and have a look.

Erwin followed Sean to the living room, and before he entered, he heard hearty laughter constantly echoing.

Walking into the hall, Erwin saw a woman sitting next to Madame Perenelle in the center.

This woman was so tall that Erwin estimated she was almost three meters in height.

However, although this woman was tall, she possessed a graceful temperament and very elegant mannerisms.

She was chatting with Perenelle with a smile.

Sitting near her were a group of young witches, dressed in uniform blue robes, with hats on their heads and veils covering their faces.

Although he couldn't see their faces clearly, they had graceful figures, suggesting their appearances weren't shabby.

Seeing Erwin walk in, Madame Perenelle immediately waved to him with a smile, motioning him to her side.

Erwin walked to her side in a few steps and offered his greetings.

Madame Perenelle grasped Erwin's hand and introduced him to the woman opposite.

"Maxime, this is Erwin. He's a little genius that even Nicolas praises highly."

"Erwin, this is Madame Maxime, the current headmistress of Beauxbatons."

Erwin had actually guessed her identity long ago, but he didn't show it, offering a gentleman's bow.

"Hello, Madame Maxime."

Madame Maxime looked Erwin up and down, and she secretly praised in her heart how there could be such a cute young wizard. He would certainly grow up to be very handsome. She nodded with satisfaction.

"Are you interested in transferring to Beauxbatons? If you do, then you can choose any of the young witches in our school to be with you, besides Delacour."

Erwin was dumbfounded.

Why didn't this person follow conventional etiquette? She was trying to poach students right from the start, and offering such attractive... ahem, questionable conditions.

But he refused.

“I appreciate the… gesture, but I would have to decline.”

"Hmph!"

At this moment, a crisp, cold sound rang out.

Erwin turned his head to look, and a girl stood up.

This was the one with the finest figure among the group of young witches, and her entire being radiated a different kind of charm.

When she saw Erwin's gaze, she showed no weakness and glared at him.

Immediately, she removed her hat and veil, revealing a stunning face.

The girl possessed a pair of large blue eyes like emeralds, and facial features perfect and delicate, were carved upon her pale, pretty face.

As the hat was removed, a waterfall of silver hair fell naturally, catching some sparkles under the candlelight.

The girl raised her chin proudly, looked at Erwin, and spoke in English with a French accent.

"I am Fleur Delacour."
