Ben best advice for leftovers. Disposable muffin tins. Get the one that makes 6 muffins everyone can scoop leftovers in then just throw some foil across the top. That way you aren’t getting rid of all your plastic wares.

Our families have passed on or moved too far to share Thanksgiving with this year, so I’m cooking my first turkey. My 13-year-old son really wants to help prep & cook a whole turkey so I’m going for it…I’ve been studying Alison Roman’s recipe. I feel a bit nervous but I’m in. I really enjoyed this episode!

Ben, it’s considerate to bring your own containers, if your host tells you, take outs are to be given. If they are your friends, they shouldn’t mind. Just say: “If you want leftovers, please bring your own containers.” I agree with you on choosing the turkey. One year I spent over $200 on a heritage turkey from Pat LaFrieda. I vowed never again. It was tough & stringy, leaving me lamenting about my money going down the drain. LaFrieda has fabulous dry aged steaks, but he needs to stick to beef, not turkeys for the holidays. This year, we decided to try a Greenberg smoked turkey. They’re big in Texas, so we’ll see what all the hype is about. Ronnie, your mac & cheese sounds yummy. I’d love to taste that!
