I think we’ve all experienced these kind of overly self-critical moments where we ruminate on how other perceive our words and actions (I literally have one every time I post a comment 😂) But ultimately I always come back to the idea that if what you’re expressing to others is genuine and kind, how they receive it is their business. But I finally realized everyone has the same hang ups and are thinking about themselves not about me. Once I realized that it helped me have some real conversations that were usually fun as well and I would walk away feeling like I made a friend .

I have an acquaintance who just won an Emmy and wonder if I’m annoying her if I like or comment on her social media stuff (even before the Emmy when her star was on the rise). And another person who works behind the camera but is always working on cool projects and traveling to cool places (for work and leisure)—they never react or respond. Well once they did, but it was to neg a show I liked that I was going on about on my page.
