Chapter fifty three - What's in it for you?

Although we have shadowed the great Aaron James for a while, it doesn't mean that this man who has started the whole series is any less important. But considering the isolation he is facing, there isn't much going on for him until recently.

As a start, it is fair to point out how this man is getting used to this new world. He hates it at best, but at the same time there is one good thing out of all of this. He likes this new body.

For example, in his own old body forward at the date 2019 he used to have this lasting pain on his elbow. It was nothing serious, just a minor muscle pain all thanks to push ups done incorrectly and a bit too much.

In this new body, that pain is as good as gone and it feels rather nice to be able to move freely. But apart from that fact, he also loves how buff he is in this new body.

His muscles and strength aren't only twice but triple the amount better. Now not to get it confused, he isn't insanely buff. For example he wouldn't be able to bend a metal door with one kick or he doesn't have arm muscles the size of an average person's waist. However, we can consider it as half of that specific amount.

And thanks to the daily exercises he has become stronger bit by bit. One specific thing that has been boosting his confidence, is the fact that the beautiful Aucia Hynde keeps checking him out from a distance.

At first thought, he thinks its because of the fact that he is buff and attractive. I mean, he even has beautiful black hair at a medium length. They are thick, full of life and somehow get even better after sweating it all out.

To show off, he sometimes does a handstand and afterwards starts walking at that same way too. Quite frankly he would love to stay low, not grab any attention. But how much attention would a hand stand grab?

Aucia Hynde is one of the best things out of Reincarnating here, but if only they would talk more. Aucia Hynde only comes by to recieve some training instructions from Athenderus Mihura and afterwards she returns back to Arthur's school, and in between that hour she peeks at Aaron a lot.

There is one more thing about them not being able to talk, Tristan Blackbear is always near Aucia. You would think they are dating! But no, he is more of a bodyguard to her from the looks of it since he never attempts to make a move.

Tristan doesn't look like someone who would mercilessly attack for any pale reason, but one wrong word and Aaron could be flying further than Athendurus that day and it isn't really certain if Aaron can land as well as Athendurus can.

Getting to a different point for a while, Arena Master Fin along with teacher Athendurus Mihura both are in agreement that Aaron is terrible at Swordsmanship. He doesn't have enough training yet, but to the teacher it seems like Aaron is progressing backwards.

Athendurus quotes, "You aren't ready at all to enter the Arena."

And towards another prespective, Arena Master Fin quotes. "You are noticeably smarter than most here but you are terrible with a Sword."

He won't be in the Arena battle grounds anytime soon but it is always better to go in prepared instead of going in to loose his head. What's a bit funny is that Aaron is fast, could take a wind breaking swing with a Sword but he isn't really precise. If he aimed for the head, he would hit the hip.

Getting back to Aucia Hynde, based on Arthur's teaching of behaviour and what to look out for, he has mentioned something about potential Allies.

There is one thing to get straight, her main intend here is to make a better living in this Domain for the woman kind and at the same time help Arthur by being a great public attraction.

In Aucia's eyes, Aaron is a potential Ally. He seems fairly anti social towards everyone here which in a way would prove useful for Arthur, since in a way Aaron is proving that he isn't some Rat who would slow down some set goals or completely damage them for that matter.

It isn't really certain what use can Aaron prove for Arthur's plans, but someone as smart as Arthur would find a way. Quite actually, Aaron would prove useful by being a better fighter which means he would he a better public attraction.

But today, with prepared caution Aucia has decided to break the ice in between them and just talk. While Aaron was swinging at a training Dummy with his medium sized Sword, Aucia approached him and said. "You can do this better if you prepare a mental picture of where you want to swing, your moves feel random."

Trying to be as kind as possible towards this criticism, since Tristan BlackBear is behind the beautiful Aucia Hynde. He stopped swinging, turned around and spoke. "I'm still trying to figure that out, but Mental preparation doesn't seem to "cut it".

He joked a little bit on the last part obviously, and Aucia was quick to smile because of it. But getting back to the main point, Aucia offered. "I'm being represented by a businessman who has roots in the Arena, I can get you out of this place to train better and eat better."

A bit shocked how Aucia got straight to the point, he concealed his main expression and tried to remind her of something else. "But I'm a Slave here."

"So was I." She answered with a frown, since the term "Slave" keeps bringing back bad memories. "But as I said, that man has roots in the Arena. You will still have to fight here until you are a Champion, but you would have a bit more freedom and won't have to be in this reeking place all the time."

In order to convince him, Tristan added a bit of words of his own although the start of it spooked Aaron out a little bit. "It will just be you, me and Aucia. We will have a step ahead of everyone else here and the only way someone would be able to kill you, is in the Battle grounds."

Thinking it through just for a couple of seconds, Aaron decided to ask the main question here. "What's in it for all of you?"

Being taught to be careful with everything she says, Aucia answered with caution. "Nothing that would harm you, Arthur is the man who represents me and he will fill you in on some basics."
