FSTR - Chapter 50

Chapter Fifty - Unexpressed Emotions.

"Sire. I've come to inform you about that fool of a personal assistant, send by Andonil Wehe." Informed Mendebal's most trusted Guard. And the fact that he sees Andonil as a fool and doesn't describe him by title, feels pleasing to the King.

"The hell does he want?" King Mendebal asked, obviously not so welcome of the Zamerians either. To make it worse, he highly dislikes this assistant and wanted him killed. "I swear, this time he might actually give out his last breath!"

At least, that's what he shouted. But taking a glance to the right he noticed one of the maids, nodding her head from left to right signifying that she is not on board with that idea.

Enjoying the King's rage towards the assistant, the trusted Guard answered with his tone thick and intentions loyal. "He personally wants to talk to you, I don't think he is here to schedule another meeting with that hound of a Chapel Master."

"Bring him in here, but don't leave the Castle afterwards. I won't be granting this disrupting fool a chance of a royal dinner, he will he dismissed shortly." Come to think of it, everyone in this room knows why the messenger is here for. Due to the last debate it wouldn't be surprising if they think that King Mendebal had Zehra Flint kidnapped!

"There you are!" The assistant walked in with a dash, obviously ill mannered. This is the same guy that started commanding Castle Guards, as if they were his own to command. "I know what you did, where is she?"

"You have crossed many boundaries boy, let me assure you that you are a flinch away from getting shot on the head." King Mendebal avoided the question, focused more on the aspect that this low rank man is causing a disturbance in the Castle.

"Fuck you and your boundaries!" The assistant shouted, and at a blink he noticed that the Guards have surrounded him. There are 7 Castle Guards in this throne room at the moment and each one is waiting for the Command to slice this assistant's head off. "Where is Zehra Flint?"

"You are a little wild boar are you?" King Mendebal remained calm, actually realizing that this temperamental man isn't to be reasoned with. "Gentlemen, why don't you show him some manners?"

Nodding his head upwards after, he saw the personal assistant being knocked on the head with a handle of a sword. He dropped on the ground, and that's where the additional pounding came in.

Two Castle Guards were kicking him on the back, one was kicking him on the stomach and King Mendebal just sat back on his throne and with a smirk across his face he enjoyed the Assistant's beating.

After a few kicks, King Mendebal mildly shouted. "That's enough."

At command, the Castle Guards stopped. It is fair to say that they have developed a grudge on this personal assistant before when he came along and shouted at Castle Guards, commanding them as if he was their superior.

Surprisingly, the personal assistant isn't knocked out. He stood on his feet again, and was well determined to stick on his task even though all of his upper body hurts along with his head. Rather powerful for a 5.6 foot tall man, wouldn't you agree?

"Do you realise what you have done? You have provoked war with the Zamerians just by having your Castle Guards put your hands on me and furthermore if you actually did something to Zehra Flint, the Zamerians will burn your pathetic Kingdom to the ground!" He spoke rather clearly for a man who was almost beaten to death. I suppose his anger isn't short lasting like most individuals.

"The Zamerians still owe be debt and have provoked war several times for now, rest assured that if you come barging here like that again, you'll walk out with your legs cut off!" Aiming to provoke him, aiming to touch a string even though his tone sounding innocent. King Mendebal added, "And as for your beloved Miss. Zehra Flint, we don't have her. We can't be held responsible for what betrayals she might have done behind your back, she might have made out with a bag of gold. Perhaps check your Treasury to assure that I'm not crazy."

"Fuck you and your thoughts!" The assistant shouted once more and made his way out of the throne room, shoving a Castle Guard with his shoulder on the way out.

...

The Personal assistant was clearly beaten badly, and this situation might bring trouble. But King Mendebal is prepared for this move, best described he bought himself this opportunity to beat the crap out of the loud mouthed assistant.

It is worth noting that the timeline we are at now, is before the Bear Bloods attacked the Zamerian Chapel so his move will be successful if Chapel Master Andonil Wehe's personal assistant actually looks in to King Mendebal's last mentioned suggestion.

What I'm saying here, is that not only did he kidnap Zehra Flint, he also framed her with Treasury theft! Given the fact that she is the Chapel's financial Advisor, this framed theory doesn't seem to impossible. She was always in the treasury room, until when would it take for her to get attracted to its theft?

How did he frame her you might ask? Well it is rather simple to explain. The same men who Kidnapped Zehra, also broke in and stole 120 Gold Coins from the Chapel Treasury. They did it all undetected which is the most amazing part, the fact that Zehra is a financial advisor makes this thing nothing less but dumb luck!

The amount they stole is fairly bigger than the required expenses to compensate the sunken ship, but the Zamerians have been feeding off the 4 Kingdoms of the Iron Boot Alliance for years, so this is but a small percentage stolen back.

Now if the Chapel officials actually recount their budget, they will find out that a huge portion of them is missing. Furthermore they will be left in shock and will feel betrayed by Zehra, but at the same time they will be suspicious of King Mendebal for pointing out this accurate tragedy.

However the Chapel won't be able to do anything, because there is no actual proof of King Mendebal doing anything. And as for starting a war because of a personal assistant being beaten, it is highly unlikely.

"So what is the plan now?" King Mendebal asked, but who you might ask?

Chloe Kotemelin, best described as the King's favourite maid. But in the King's eyes, she is the genius behind all the tremendously smart moves he has been making against the Zamerians. For royalty to ask a maid about the plan, it truly says a lot and it screams out unusual.

"Well that personal assistant will definitely report every word you said to the most exact detail." Chloe pointed out, somehow knowing that this is something an assistant would do or in other terms a Rat. "So we need to use that to our advantage." She smirked, rather adorable.

Chloe is a black haired lady, fairly beautiful. And she has every curve a man would prefer, furthermore she even has a big breast. It was inevitable that King Mendebal would eventually want her in the same room after hiring her, but who would know that a maid would be guiding him towards tremendous victories?

"And how do we do that?" King Mendebal felt confused, at least no one is here to see him but Chloe. Confused no doubt, but he admired the beautiful black birthmark across her face.

"Well their conclusions will obviously lead them to do something else stupid. With the valuable slaves from Makemis safe, with you and me safe as well. They will not be able to do anything heavily threatening to the Kingdom." Her way of describing, smooth and beautiful. It felt nice to listen to her, even though King Mendebal might be zoning out a bit since she is literally on his lap in his bedroom.

Seeing that the King is still listening, she of course continued to explain. "Afterwards thanks to the fact that they became hostile directly in this Kingdom, we will have it easier to shut down their businesses which is their primary income and way of conquering."

...

"Zehra Flint, my love. Where are you? Are you safe, are you alive?" The personal assistant spoke to himself at a delicate tone, obviously murmuring what most individuals wouldn't know about him.

"I want to help you, but I am powerless and the Chapel isn't helping as much as it is supposed to be." Afterwards suspicion arose in his heart, he asked himself. "Could she really have stolen gold?"

Debating it within himself a little bit, he finally assured. "No she couldn't have, she never cared about gold! She was all about books and knowledge."

Steering his thoughts away from the theory that Zehra could have been a thief, he remembered his primary goal. "I will find you, lead you to safety and express my love to you. Maybe it will make my odds easier!"
