Chapter Forty Four - Great Pay.

Knock Knock Knock!

"I'm Dalerus. Looking for Arthur Ha... Oh you must be him." Asked Dalerus as he opened the Door to the school's "Main office". This main office is exlusevely designed for Arthur. This is where people will be able to hire Security Guards.

"Yes yes. Please come in." Answered Arthur Hare. Upon entering, two security Guards were Guarding his left and right side. Although they are new, this is great practice before they will be sent on more serious jobs.

They were staying a couple of feet away from him, giving him space to breathe as he was checking on a few parchments which were written to track the progress of each Security Guard. He was no doubt taking this job seriously. "Please sit."

"Sit here dear." Kindly said Dalerus as he pulled the chair for her to sit on. In a way showing great respect for his "Wife".

"Thank you." Answered Z playing along. But secretely enjoying this little act.

"How can I help you sir?" Asked Arthur as he saw Dalerus sitting on the chair.

"Well. You see sir Arthur, I need to make a trip to Salmon River Kingdom tommorow, to ask a few questions to the governors there about Citizenship." Dalerus lied here a little bit, using the current situation to his advantage.

Being able to put two and two together, Arthur proceeded to ask. "Oh, you two are married?"

Although breaking a sweat at first on his forehead, due to being nervous. He pulled it together and answered. "Yes Sir, we got married a few weeks ago. I want to take the lady along with me at Salmon River Kingdom, but I am not certain if she can get legitimate citizenship there. I need to ask the governors about it before I take her all the way there."

Of course he had to lie to Arthur about this whole situation. It would be a very stupid idea to tell Arthur or anyone else about their full plans and story. From a business point of view, Arthur might decide to not help them due to it.

"I see. And I'm figuring that you don't feel she will be safe while you are gone." The most appropriate question to ask, it was easy to put it all together considering that they are in his office.

"You read me like a book Sir Arthur. So I would like to hire 6 of your Security Guards. Apart from that, I prefer it if she shares the same room and dinning table with the rest of the security Guards. No rapist would target this place when they consider the resulting circumstance of their doing." This last part was surely thought out by Z, since Dalerus is far too sleepy to think it all through.

"I'd be most glad to help you with this situation sir Dalerus but as you might have heard, these Women are new at this Career. They need a few more months to be ready." Arthur of course considered other points, like for example if the 6 ladies fail it would be a bad way of promotion that can damage their reputation.

"I'm aware of that. Which is why I'm asking for 6 Security Guards. Although their training schedule might shift a little bit, 3 Security Guards will be with her at all time." Dalerus insisted, with information brought upon him by Z of course.

Yet Arthur still stuck with his views. "I see your point. But I'm still not sure about..."

"I'm willing to pay you 5 Gold Coins. Your Guards will Guard her until the end of July." Now of course, Dalerus offered a deal of which no business owner could reject. This is 60% profit.

"I suppose we have a deal." I'd be stupid for him to reject such great deal. Considering that he has plans to expand this project. His first investment would be to buy a few houses so the Security Guards would have more privacy instead of being crammed up all in one place.

Plus this helps to cover some expenses, his businesses are spread tremendously thin due to the fact that he spent 500 Gold Coins on buying the 80 ladies.

Arthur build up a rather complex profit plan from this project. For example if 1 security Guard is hired for 3 months, that Security Guard being paid 10 Silver Coins a month, 30 Silver Coins would be essential.

Apart from that, based on the Guard's salary, a 30% plus charge would be added. So if the Guard recieves 30 Silver Coins in 3 months, consdering the 30% fee, the total pay would be 39 Silver Coins.

30 Silver Coins would go to the Security Guard, and the 9 Silver Coins would go to the busines' budget. Now imagine 80 women bringing similar profit. It will eventually bring enough Gold to expand this business.

Considering that Dalerus is asking for 6 Guards, to work for him in a period lasting 3 months, the total pay would be 164 Silver Coins (Fee included). But Dalerus is offering 500 Silver Coins, see the huge gap here? It is silver he can't afford to loose.

Getting back to business, Arthur specified. "I'd like to inform you sir Dalerus, 60% of the total pay has to be paid now if this project is to start, your official signature is required and the document will be stored safely here, at the end of July, you will pay the rest."

"That won't be a problem. May I ask how much Gold is 60%?" At this rate he is happy that Z will be heavily protected, he would pay all the silver coins now!

"300 Silver Coins!" Answered Z without wasting a blink.

"Oh.. um. That's correct." Answered Arthur in a bit of shock. Such academic skill is truly rare here. "I will assign 6 of the finnest Security Guards. Your wife will be on safe hands."

"Thank you very much for all of your help." Tying his arm around Z's neck he added, "I feel great relief now that my wife is on safe dependable hands."

A hug can be nice, although Z would typically slap the daylights out of him, this does feel nice. I suppose they can both excuse this with their current situation.
