Chapter 212 - Exploded Geezer

Timothy absolutely dominated his six opponents, he had the upper hand, and performed accordingly. However, he was still far away from completing the mountain of tasks that he was stacking above his shoulders!

For example, if he ran into an opponent that was more powerful than him, he'd be dead, so he was working on the not-dying part. He degraded one of the fresh corpses in front of him, took its skull, and started shaping it into a helmet, because quite frankly, he didn’t want to risk getting hit on the head by anything physical.

Dark mages didn’t often use physical means to attack their opponents, but he didn’t want to take any chances! Since the pyramids had depleted most of his mana pool, he had to take various measures of protecting himself from danger!

Timothy suited up in just under half-a-minute, and then he grunted. “Okay… this armor should be enough to prevent me from getting killed. Now I just gotta get out of here, cause these bastarding pyramids aren't doing me any good…”

Considering that he didn't know how to stop the pyramid from sucking the mana out of the water, it was best if he didn't try to stop them at all. For that matter, he spent a little while longer near the pyramid in the middle, in order to fill the dark side of his mana pool entirely, and afterwards, he made an attempt to sneak out!

Timothy was hoping that the rest of the dark mages in the vicinity hadn't heard the desperate screams of the guys that he just killed, he was hoping to avoid detection. In a situation like this, every second he spent hiding here and there, could help get him an advantage over his enemies! With that said, he snuck out of this hall before other people could get here, and grabbed his new, bony surfboard with him.

Surfboards weren't as effective under water, but in case he got caught, he wanted to use the surfboard as a way to intimidate his enemies. At the very least, he could chip bony bits off of the board, and use those as projectiles! He knew what he was doing, he surfed upwards.

Timothy successfully snuck into another building nearby, and considering that these Hunched Humans weren't using this old, ruined building that he snuck into, it meant that it was a good hiding spot! He was also thirty feet above the ground level now, so he could observe his enemies a lot better than before.

“That bastard looks strong,” He spoke to the system, as he stalked the bunch.

Timothy wanted to kill one of the older, stronger guys of the enemy group, because he wanted to steal their more advanced powers. His motives were to study their powers, and for that to be possible he had to kill them first!

Studying powers was very important, because if Timothy didn’t like the power itself, he could just pick apart its most important features, and then dispel it out of his body. He could also merge those new powers together, thus making them more useful, which was also advantageous. These were the chars of his abruptly high MQ!

“Those idiots that I just killed, didn’t have any powers worth taking. Maybe I should try and kill this old geezer? Shouldn't be too hard.” He plotted, and the system didn't advise against this.

However, it was best if he waited here and collected some mana for a while, because the blue side of his mana pool was absolutely empty. He needed blue mana, because he had a feeling that a mere fireball was a lot more effective against these guys, in comparison to any old, dark power. Furthermore, he wanted to have the option of relying on his entire arsenal, rather than his dark powers alone!

Timothy was about forty meters away from the three pyramids, and he could still feel their influence over his mana pool. Those pyramids were very strong, and scale-wise, Timothy would've gotten at least triple the amount of mana if it wasn't for their interference!

“What could they possibly need all this mana for?” He thought, as he was still oblivious about this matter.

It was a head scratcher right enough, and he wasn't given time to think about it either. As soon as his mana pool was filled halfway, he felt ready to spring into action, and it so happens that the old man had already separated from his group of dark mages a while ago too!

On his palms, Timothy charged two lightning bolts up to the max, and shot them towards his target! The bolts were so strong, that he was tossed ten meters backwards as a result - This was no light attack!

[-60,000 mana points,] The system beeped.

Timothy hit his target successfully, and since dark mages weren't known for having physically defensive skills, he got the best out of that sneak attack! Actually, he absolutely destroyed his target, exploding the old man into a million pieces upon impact, so the old man’s corpse was gone!

“Ah great,” He sighed, and then he noticed that well over twenty Hunched Humans had spotted him. “I did not expect him to explode like that… His powers haven't exploded, though, I can smell them...”

Regarding the dark powers that he treasured, he noticed that they were drifting across the water, circling in the area where the corpse was supposed to be. Timothy could harvest those, and this would be beneficial even if he couldn’t harvest those powers entirely, however, in order to harvest them, he had to get close to the drifting essences of those powers! The latter part was quite dangerous!

“I blew my cover anyway,” Timothy said, as he looked at the several men and women that were charging towards him, and furthermore he decided. “Gotta steal those essences, I have to give it a shot. Good thing I brought my surfboard with me, hehe!”

Afterwards, he hopped on to the surfboard, and surfed it using his Bone Multiplier ability. He moved the surfboard with that ability, and as not to Tri-Cast, he attacked his enemies one at a time!

Timothy shot three more of them down that way, before he even got close to the Power Essences that he targeted. He felt unstoppable, and quite frankly, almost all of them were below him in terms of mana quality, so he dominated these opponents as well! His movements were nothing short of explosive!
