2024-06-30 18:45:26 +0000 UTCBen, to add fuel to your anti-Bear fire, during Scandoval I used to watch VPR livestreams on Twitch with this streamer named Saria Hannibal and whenever promos for Bear would come on during commercial breaks, she would viscerally react with a sour face and say, “ugh, I don’t want to even look at him.” And when people asked her why in the chat, she refused to give details but said he and his wife were next-door neighbors to her mom’s house and she just kept saying they were (or he was, can’t remember if the wife was included) terrible and she wasn’t surprised they were getting divorced. I got the impression it had to do with alcohol, maybe drugs and terrible behavior. 🤷🏻♀️Anyway, I totally feel you about pretentious chefs, especially the male ones. When I watched the first episode of Bear, I was like, okay so this is restaurant kitchen as emergency room because of how insanely life or death they make everything seem.

2024-06-28 19:48:54 +0000 UTCIn the finale, Gail says that one of the dishes was hard to eat and she couldn’t quite figure out “how to get the food into my mouth…” and I died laughing thinking of all the possible “Padma” responses to that. “Really, Gail? I don’t think that’s a problem you’ve EVER had before!” I also hate that The Bear is considered a comedy, but I choose to ignore that fact and watch it anyway. I liked season 2’s ode to the Chicago culinary scene.

It is INCREDIBLE and will cater to what both of you love so much. Keep giving it a chance to get to Forks. Also: the Gene Wilder grandson thing was a fake internet rumor… it’s not true. 🙃
