Some Fun
Added 2025-01-03 16:00:09 +0000 UTCAs Tristan chatted with the retired legends of the game, another pair of eyes across the room locked onto him. Kendall Jenner, one of the famous Jenner sisters, found herself intrigued.
It wasn’t surprising—Tristan had effortlessly inherited his mom’s striking looks. Even in a room filled with Hollywood’s biggest stars and music icons, he stood out without even trying.
"Who is that guy?" Kendall muttered to herself, her curiosity sparked.
Initially, she assumed he might be a model or maybe a rising pop star. But when she noticed David Beckham personally guiding him around, introducing him to soccer players, her intrigue grew.
"So, he's an active soccer player then," she murmured, more to herself than anyone else, watching Tristan having a laugh with Beckham.
She finally couldn’t resist her curiosity grabbing her phone. Opening her browser, she quickly typed "British soccer players" into the search bar. She glanced back at Tristan, narrowing her search when she overheard snippets of conversation nearby. Someone mentioned how he had "carried England in the World Cup."
But as Kendall scrolled through the list of players—names like Wayne Rooney, Steven Gerrard, and Frank Lampard, all of whom she had never heard of before—a photo caught her eye. It was of Tristan, arms outstretched, his face lit with triumph as he celebrated scoring his first World Cup goal against Uruguay. The image had become iconic, a snapshot of a moment that sent England fans into a frenzy.
"He looks amazing," Kendall thought, instinctively zooming in on the image. She compared the photo to the real person across the room, and smiled to herself. "Yep, that’s definitely him."
Curiosity getting the better of her, Kendall clicked on the link accompanying the image. It led her to an article detailing the match and Tristan’s performance, and for the first time, she learned his full name: Tristan Hale. As she scrolled further, her eyes widened in surprise. According to his Wikipedia page, Tristan wasn’t just British—he was of both English and Chinese descent.
The revelation intrigued her even more. He didn’t look remotely Chinese; in fact, at first glance, he seemed entirely European. But then, Kendall stumbled upon a family photo buried in the search results.
It was a picture of Tristan with his parents, and everything became clear. He looked almost entirely like his mother, her genes dominating so completely that his father’s features seemed nonexistent. "Wow," Kendall murmured to herself, staring at the photo. "His dad’s genes didn’t even put up a fight."
She glanced back up at Tristan, now laughing at something Beckham had said, his striking green eyes practically glowing in the soft lighting of the room.
Curious, Kendall scrolled through Tristan’s social media, her interest growing with every tweet she read. "Five million followers," she mused, impressed. It wasn’t quite her own eight million, but for someone relatively new to the spotlight, it was undeniably impressive. More followers than many actors and models she knew—and definitely enough to make her take notice.
Kendall couldn’t help but admire the mix of charm and potential he exuded. He wasn’t just another handsome face; he was clearly a rising star, and that intrigued her.
As she continued scrolling, she was startled when her sister Kylie popped her head into view. "What are you looking at?" Kylie asked with a smirk.
Kendall nearly dropped her phone. "Kylie! Don’t sneak up on me like that!"

Kendall nearly dropped her phone. "Kylie! Don’t sneak up on me like that!"
Kylie caught a glimpse of the screen before Kendall could hide it. Her smirk widened. "Oh, I see. You’ve got your eye on that blond soccer guy, huh?"
Kendall rolled her eyes but couldn’t hide a small smile. "Maybe. What do you think?"
She passed her phone to Kylie, who took a good look at Tristan’s profile picture and then glanced over at the man himself, still deep in conversation with Beckham.
"He’s cute," Kylie admitted, brushing her hair back. "But do you think he’s single?"
Kendall leaned back against the couch, thinking for a moment. "I haven’t seen anything about a girlfriend. No hints in his social media either."
Kylie shrugged. "You never know. Athletes usually keep their personal lives pretty private, especially if they’re dating someone who’s not in the spotlight."
Kendall nodded. It was true—athletes often found themselves in high-profile relationships, especially with models or actresses. Beckham and Victoria. Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady. It wasn’t an unusual pairing, and the Kardashians weren’t strangers to the world of dating stars either. The family practically had a legacy with NBA players.
But Kendall had always wanted to do things differently. She liked to stand apart from the typical Kardashian narrative. Dating a soccer player—one who wasn’t just talented but had that look of a model—felt like it could be her way of carving out a unique path for herself.
Her eyes wandered back to Tristan, who had a relaxed confidence about him as he laughed at something Beckham said. His presence was magnetic, even in a room full of stars.
"If all my sisters are dating NBA players," Kendall thought to herself, "why not go for a soccer player?”
Kendall's eyes sparkled with excitement, a plan forming as she decided to make her move. Flashing Kylie a confident grin, she tossed a playful wink in her sister's direction.
"Watch me work my magic," she said, snatching a glass of champagne from a passing waiter. With effortless poise, she began her approach, weaving through the room’s glamorous crowd until she spotted Tristan stepping away from Beckham, seemingly heading toward the kitchen.
"Hey!"
Her voice cut through the soft hum of chatter, causing Tristan to pause mid-step. He turned, his green eyes locking onto the source of the interruption—a tall, striking woman with a presence that demanded attention. Her face tugged at a faint thread of familiarity in his mind, though he couldn’t place it.
"Are you talking to me?" he asked, his tone polite yet cautious.
Kendall’s smile widened as she closed the distance between them, her confidence unwavering. "Yes, your name’s Tristan, right?"
"Yes, yeah, that’s me," he said, his curiosity now fully piqued.
"I’m Kendall. Kendall Jenner."
Recognition hit Tristan like a delayed jolt of lightning. Despite being British, he was well aware of the kardashian family and that drama that comes with them.
Tristan's confusion lasted only a moment before he extended his hand with a charming smile. "Ah, nice to meet you, Kendall."
Kendall’s confidence didn’t waver as she shook his hand, but up close, she couldn’t help but notice how effortlessly attractive he was. His sharp jawline, striking green eyes, and calm demeanor made him even more appealing than any photo or TV broadcast could convey.
He’s even better in person.
But something about him intrigued her more. He didn’t seem the least bit fazed by her introduction—no awkward stammering, no starstruck glances.
He doesn’t recognize me.
The realization sent a spark of excitement coursing through her. For Kendall, who was used to being instantly recognized and adored, this was a refreshing change of pace.
Smiling softly, she tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "Are you here for the charity game tomorrow?"
"Yeah, David invited me," Tristan replied casually.
"Ah, so you’re English?"
"That’s right," he confirmed with a slight nod.
"First time in Los Angeles?"
"Yep. It’s been on my list for a while," he said with a small chuckle.
Kendall’s interest deepened, her head tilting slightly. "I’ve heard football players have crazy schedules. How does that work?"
Tristan smiled, appreciating the genuine curiosity in her tone. "Well, I just wrapped up the World Cup and the club season," he explained. "I’m in the off-season now."
"Off-season? Like the NBA?" Kendall asked, her eyes lighting up with interest.
"Sort of," Tristan said with a shrug. "Ours is shorter, though—just about six weeks from May to mid-July. Nothing like the NBA."
"Oh, I see." Kendall nodded, pretending to fully grasp the rigors of football. Her eyes gleamed as she leaned in slightly. "So, how long are you staying in LA?"
"I’m not sure yet," Tristan admitted. "After the charity game, I might stay a few days. It’s my first time here, and I’d like to explore a bit."
Kendall’s lips curled into a playful smile. "Well, then you’re definitely going to need a tour guide!"
Before Tristan could respond, she reached into her clutch, pulled out a napkin, and quickly scribbled her number. With a confident smile, she handed it to him. "Here you go. After the game, give me a call. I’d love to show you around."
Tristan, accustomed to attention but not quite like this, couldn’t help but grin. A tour guide? That was a new one.
He accepted the napkin with a raised brow. "I’ll keep that in mind," he said, his tone light.
Kendall flashed him a wink before turning and walking away, clearly pleased with how things had played out.
Tristan watched her retreat, her figure moving with an effortless grace that caught his attention despite himself. He glanced at the napkin in his hand, then back at Kendall as she rejoined her sister, a triumphant smile lighting up her face.
Kendall shot Kylie a confident chin tilt and made an exaggerated "OK" gesture. "Done," she declared with a smirk.
Meanwhile, Tristan stood rooted in place, his smile fading into a thoughtful expression. He wasn’t eager to jump into anything with someone from the Kardashian world. To him, their family thrived on drama, turning every moment into a spectacle. That wasn’t his style.
Still, he glanced down at the number in his hand. A few days with Kendall couldn’t hurt… right?
Stuffing the napkin into his pocket with a sigh, Tristan shook his head, his wry smile returning. It’s not like I’m going to date her or anything. No way in hell.
For Tristan, his fleeting exchange with Kendall at the party was barely a footnote in an otherwise extraordinary night. The real highlight had been the chance to expand his network.
Even more exhilarating was the opportunity to rub shoulders with football legends like Ronaldinho and Figo—names he’d idolized in his past life. Lying in bed that night, his mind buzzed with excitement as he planned to snap a photo with each of them after tomorrow’s charity match. It felt surreal, like a dream finally coming to life.
He finally drifted off around 1 a.m., his heart still racing from the evening’s events.
The next morning, a cold shower jolted him awake, refreshing his focus. He headed to the hotel restaurant for breakfast, joining his parents for a quiet meal. As they finished up and went off to handle their plans for the morning, Tristan glanced at the sleek Hublot on his wrist.
With some unexpected free time, he considered his options. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out the napkin Kendall had handed him. Her number stared back at him, and after a moment of deliberation, he entered it into his phone and dialed.
In her Beverly Hills apartment, Kendall had woken up with a mix of excitement and frustration. The night before, she had confidently bet her sister that Tristan would call her first. Her charm was undeniable, after all.
But as the hours stretched into the early morning with no call, her confidence wavered. Questions swirled in her mind. Had she overestimated her impact on him? Was he immune to her allure? The thought gnawed at her, and she tossed and turned, her mind unable to rest.
When her phone finally buzzed, breaking the morning silence, Kendall bolted upright. Her hand shot out to grab it from the bedside table, her heart leaping. Squinting at the unfamiliar number on the screen, she hesitated for only a second before answering, her voice still heavy with sleep.
"Hello?"
"Hey, good morning. It’s Tristan."
The smooth, confident voice on the other end of the line sent a jolt through her. For a split second, Kendall froze, her brain catching up to the fact that he had actually called.
Although Kendall really wanted to ask Tristan why he hadn't called her the night before, she decided against it.
Instead of confronting him, she kept her tone casual. "Good morning."
Tristan, picking up on a subtle shift in her voice, asked, "Did I disturb your sleep?"
Kendall's first instinct was to snap back, What do you think? You had me tossing and turning all night wondering why you didn't call.
But she took a breath, and kept her response cool. "No, I was just getting ready to get up."
Tristan hesitated for a moment, then, with an almost sheepish tone, added, "I was going to ask if you wanted to grab coffee or something, maybe take a walk. Are you free later?"
The charity match wasn't until the afternoon, and Tristan was looking for a way to fill the time. A stroll with Kendall seemed like the perfect way to pass the morning. Besides, it was always more fun to be out and about with someone, especially when she was as easy on the eyes as Kendall.
When Kendall heard the invitation, she raised an eyebrow, intrigued. Is he serious?
"Okay, wait for me. I need a little time to wash up," she replied, trying to play it cool despite the flicker of excitement.
She glanced at her phone. Just past nine o'clock.
"Can you pick me up in an hour?" she asked, her voice almost absent-minded, but her thoughts already running ahead to what she'd wear.
Tristan paused. "I'd love to pick you up, but... I don't have a temporary driver's license, so even if I had a car, I couldn't drive."
Kendall blinked, caught off guard.
She rolled her eyes, half amused. "Okay, then I'll pick you up. See you in a bit."
"No problem. I'll be waiting for you at the XX Hotel," Tristan said before hanging up.
Kendall stared at her phone for a moment, wondering how she ended up in this situation.
Not even a hint of effort.
But there was something about that indifference that stoked her competitive nature. The less he seemed interested, the more she found herself wanting to prove herself.
This was a new experience for her—driving to pick up a guy for a date. The novelty of it gave her a sense of excitement she hadn't expected.
......
Holy shit it felt so cringe writing it much less reading it, god damn it actually give me physically damage.
Alright I need opinions on this so please respond, should I continue with this Kendall Jenner shit, depending on your guys answer, I either keep this chapter or delete it and work around it and make my original chapter.
Comments
Keep it up. Make it original if you have to and if the cringe is too much. I’d like for you to continue the stuff with Kendall if you can. and maybe do Barbara later on in the story if you’re not happy with what you’ve done.

2025-01-03 21:24:01 +0000 UTCyeah true tbh i think vardy staying at Leicester didn't help him. and tbh with Tristan passes Kane should score a lot more in those tournaments.

2025-01-03 18:19:25 +0000 UTCyou do make good points; it just feels weird writing about real-life people and writing relationships but yeah thank you

2025-01-03 18:15:22 +0000 UTCI mean, it probably depends on the situation after Tristan and the main players leave Leicester City and Vardy level goes down; Kane does start over him, and you gotta remember Kane is way younger and has more potential than an aging Vardy. And Vardy was good for like a season or two compared to Kane but as for the players who Tristan gets close to it, I gotta write that myself, that chinese author doesn't really do a good job on it

2025-01-03 18:14:16 +0000 UTCwill vardy be replcaed on the side by kane because i imagine that if he is working harder to keep up with players like tristan and if tristan becomes england captain no offense to kane but the only reason he would start would be if vardy is getting to old. I think Grealish would be a cool person for him to get close to just for the banter
Thomas05
2025-01-03 18:09:57 +0000 UTCin the chinese one, its like Luke Shaw, Vardy, and a few others I think,
noname_marco
2025-01-03 18:07:28 +0000 UTCi think the life stuff is important cause otherwise it is just football matches which will get old real quick. who is he going to be close to other then i imagine shaw on the england side Rice, grealish?

2025-01-03 18:05:58 +0000 UTCyeah thats what Im worried about as well as I feel like theres no need for drama so I basically do what Kezman said as for the vlog things, yeah that will happen I wanna write more about life to life stuff instead of just football games each chapter

2025-01-03 17:59:43 +0000 UTCI say stick with it till it becomes too overly heavy with the cliche and cringe parts. Interesting thing about Chinese novels is that they do offer more character development and interaction than most fanfic websites. Rather than cut the storyline, you can modify it any way you want which you are probably doing since I haven’t read the raw version. Insert characters you create or real ones that might seem more realistic than the original. Also, the off season arcs are something to look forward to since the main focus is on football. Events like celebrity gatherings and Hollywood are common tropes that have proven to be popular still to garner interest in readers. In any case, love the story and the censorship of certain aspects of the original story.

2025-01-03 17:58:32 +0000 UTCyeah he ends up with Barbara Palvin who I like more than Kendall Jenner ngl

2025-01-03 17:58:13 +0000 UTCThis is the way.

2025-01-03 16:32:21 +0000 UTClook ill be honest the romance and friendship stuff is good because it makes some reality into it. however relationship drama like that I would drop I would focus on the one romantic interest he gets. Btw in the future are you going to do stuff like the england vlog things they do like reacting to the fifa cards and gogglebox cause i think that stuff would be interesting also just him getting closer to people like vardy and the other english players when he does international.
Thomas05
2025-01-03 16:23:30 +0000 UTCThey go out together, do some sight seeing but both realise that there is no spark and decide not to try to date each other and just remain friends. Something like that.

2025-01-03 16:17:28 +0000 UTCI mean will he get together with her? Are you planning on changing stuff? You said he ends up with another model right?
