Day 6

No normal classes, reserved for events for classes.

Notes

Atali Language meets more often than is normal, because of that Alana is not getting one of her free periods.  There are other electives like this, but they are far less common.

The sixth day is sometimes used for events.  The only classes Alana is taking that has these are Etiquette and Combat Spellcasting.  These may take all day, or a large part of the day, or may take place in such a way as to make rest more important on that particular day.

Before and after each block of classes there is a period long break.  For example on day 5 Magical Materials starts around 8:30am, goes until around 10am, followed by Combat spellcasting around 10:30am until noon.  Atali Language would begin around 2pm-3:30pm followed by Harp at roughly 4pm-5:30pm.  General Bard would start around 7:30pm and end at 9pm.

Most students are absolutely exhausted by the end of the day, and study during their breaks.

This schedule is considered brutal, and that is by design.

Comments

They don't really use the idea of a week very often. Many people have rest days, and they're fairly common, but things like seasons, lunar scheduling, and the like are more important.

Also, don't think we've heard anything about what "General Spellcasting" is covering, nor anything about "Ettiquette" except they drink tea.

Reading the schedule, the first question that comes to mind is whether there a rest day as Day 7 or if the world has 6 day weeks.

Stephen

She ends up taking seven-and-a-half hours of classes a day, which is about as much as a day of work is irl. That said there are large breaks between so it drags it all out.

Brutal is right, wow. Very handy, thanks!
