Which, in turn, makes me wonder what James would have thought of that … Like, “My son offered you WHAT?!?! Why???” 😅 Also, I always assumed that the death of Arianna is accident … That nobody MEANT to kill her … I agree with you that it WAS Grinderwald who “cast the spell”, but he didn’t MEAN to kill her, and always interpreted that to be an “essential ingredient” to making a horcoux. That you have MEAN to kill someone ‘cause you’re evil. Killing someone in some kind of tragic accident won’t “work”, so to speak … 🤔
