I think Cedric was trying to be vauge when he gave Harry the clue on purpose and I could see why. The question is in the book does it say that Harry and Cedric were alone. I mean you wouldn't want someone malicious such as Snape or Draco Malfoy walking by while he was trying to drop the hint to Harry.

I actually always thought it wasn’t “very even” to begin with … Like Harry literally said, “It’s dragons 🐉” & Cedric was all like, “It’s not a bad place for a bath 🛁 … ” I always thought, “No, Cedric say, ‘You have to put the egg 🥚 IN the water 💦!’ ” THAT would have been a MUCH better hint, in my opinion. 🤨 And don’t forget, Fleur is at least 3 or 4 years older than Harry … So, I think she would not be “catching feelings” for Harry … I think she even says, “But he’s a little boy”, doesn’t she, when his name comes out of the goblet?? 🤔 She would definitely respect him more, but I don’t think she would have a crush on him, especially if she sees him as a “little kid” still … 🙃
