I think the whole prime tickets attainment is helping set up how connected Arthur is with the Ministry and interacting with muggle objects so he can help “Moody” later with the dustbins and it helps humanize him by smiling at Ron. (And ofc there’s the whole Barty Crouch Junior stealing Harry’s wand and firing the Dark Mark in the sky) Also, if Percy was Imperio’d I’d guess it was after the World Cup because that’s when Voldemort and Wormtail go to the Crouch house and Voldemort imperios Barty Crouch Senior, but otherwise mentioning the department in Ron’s letter is good set-up for when we meet Mr Crouch and it establishes Percy saying that Bertha used to be part of that department as well Bagman’s

James would then choose to die to save LILY which would have her with the sacrificial love charm. Voldemort would then try to kill Lily so he could get to Harry but the spell would backfire off of Lily, but she would be knocked out or something. Voldemort is still reduced to vapor and his piece of his soul still clings to Harry because he is the most “alive” being in the room with Lily being unconscious. Harry is still a horcrux but Lily survives and has the sacrificial love protection.

2024-11-30 15:34:45 +0000 UTCLove the intricacies of you two going deep on Dudley being abused and the Dursley’s projecting and being very self-isolating. Definitely shows how parenting makes a world’s difference. I loved all the jokes and fun you two had this episode - you did a great job of making it overall light-hearted even for a very Dursley-centric chapter. Great insights on Ron, Hermione, Hagrid, Mrs Weasley, and Sirius! And great question, I’ve also wondered it, because although Snape isn’t super present in the actual series (mostly to be a bully/thorn to Harry, Ron, and Hermione) he is partially the reason why the series exists.
