I seem to remember this being addressed before, but, why didn't Dumbledore investigate why Voldemort survived in the first place? if he had discovered the horcruxes then he could've destroyed them and just waited for Harry to be old enough and powerful enough to finish the job.

2024-11-12 21:51:09 +0000 UTCI think that Voldemort possessing Quirrel would eventually kill Quirrel, leaving Voldemort to just float away, still being a bodiless piece of soul and consciousness, just like when Quirrel dies at end of PS. But if while Voldemort was still possessing Quirrel and Quirrel was killed in a way that destroys horcruxes like basilisk fang or avada kedavra, I think that would destroy Voldemort Prime and he would be completely dead. It might not make sense to everyone else but itβs what makes sense to me.π
