2024-08-18 15:48:18 +0000 UTCWhat he should have done- and frankly I still don’t understand why he didn’t- is Voldemort knew Harry was hunting horcruxes, so why didn’t he make a new Horcrux in the Forbidden Forest in the hour between the battle? Use Snape’s death to turn his Yew wand into a horcrux? Snape’s death should have made him master of the elder wand, so making his old wand a horcrux using the elder wand should have been perfect! Would have been an incredible twist in the tale…

2024-08-18 14:39:11 +0000 UTCI think the main reason he didn't immediately make a Horcrux after having "killed" Harry is that he doesn't trust the Death Eaters (or Hagrid, for that matter) enough to let them witness the creation of a Horcrux. As for whether the fake sword is a Horcrux, I think we can safely assume that it's not, since Bellatrix was never concerned about the trio having the sword themselves, just whether they'd taken the cup as well.

2024-08-18 13:42:40 +0000 UTCWhen Voldemort made Nagini, he did not yet know about the diary because he didn’t know about it til Lucius told him. But besides that, that piece of soul was destroyed, so maybe in his mind, his soul was still in seven pieces, so the sacred seven was still in place even though one of the horcruxes was destroyed (although I love the idea that the fake sword was a horcrux)
