(PS. there are some of my own experiences but also wishes mixed in. it all went well in the end when i came out, but still it would've saved me so many years of insecurity and fear of rejection if my parents would've been more transparent about their views when i was young, so this is just to give context for the scene from a queer POV!)

I came out to my grandparents and while one of them doesn't agree entirely with it they don't love me any less, they're both very supportive people in my life. That and my best friend's family, while they weren't my literal family, they were always supportive of what I did and treated me as if I was their own. It's good to see an example of a support system, that's practically family, there for Robin.

I am honestly very afraid of how my parents feel about my sexuality and I have no reference on how any of my family members would feel about this since everyone is straight. I'm so happy that experience went well for you and hope it does for me too. Out of curiosity, how well did this go for Kandismon? Also, how do you know it's the best time to tell? Sorry if that is too personal. I love seeing the closeness Robin and Noah had at such a young age. Great job and can't wait for the next update π€

I relate to this scene so much from her point of view since I am a straight (and cis-gendered) woman, but my child who is 14 is queer. Iβve always gone out of my way to be actively and openly supportive of LGBTQ+ rights not actually even thinking so much about my own kids, but just about the society I want to live in. Then my daughter very casually came out as queer in 7th grade and went to her 8th grade dance with a female date and wearing a suit. I was SO proud of her, I was sending pictures of her in her awesome suit to all my family and friends! ππ Thankfully, where we live (in Northern California) this wasnβt even any kind of a big deal. But it just warms my heart that she gets to feel comfortable being who she is β I wish that for all people, gay or straight! β€οΈ And Iβm so glad Robin and Noah get to feel that way, too!
