We bring you flowers! GL Discord server - 1 year anniversary 🦌🌸

before i start! this wonderful fanart of Noah and Robin in their spirit forms is drawn by kitty, as a gift for all our Discord members! kitty is one of he mods who helps me to organize the channels and watch over the conversations, so a big thank you to her!! today is the server's 1 year anniversary! and that's why i wanted to take the time to thank everyone in the Ghost Lights Discord server for being there. i really really love you guys ; _; talking to you often cheers me up and is just in general super fun!! and when i get to share updates or wips or random tidbits about the story with you and see your real time reactions, i feel super motivated afterwards.

but it's not just for me! i'm glad it could become an important place for some of you, too 😭💙 you support each other and are there for each other, share drawings, share photos of your cute pets and of your daily lives, play MMOs together, talk about fandoms, talk about eeeverything, sometimes meet up in voice channel... it just really makes me happy to see!! i wanted to give you a place to meet each other, to talk about the comic and everything else and maybe even become friends ; ; and i can't tell you how happy i am that it worked out!

i think i've mentioned it a few times before, but interacting with my readers is something i really need. i can't reply to all messages or comments but of course i want to know what you think when you read the comic, and i try to reply as often as possible because of this. it's like a connection between me and you. it's part of what makes storytelling fun for me: to get reactions! and seeing others being invested in the story and the characters and talk to each other about it... it is such a huge reward for me!

and having a Discord server gives me the option to have longer conversations with my readers, too. i can hop in and out, just for a few minutes or sometimes for hours 💙 getting to know you on a personal level is just really nice. it feels like home

the server has now almost 100 members! some members have been there from the start and are still very active almost every day, and over time more members joined. some prefer to lurk (which is totally fine), and some peek in now and then! i think it's a very nice mixture! there are people from different timezones, different backgrounds, and it works so well ; _; i didn't think the server would be active and bubbly for so long to be honest~ but we still are!

one year ago i created the server without much planning, i just wanted to see how it goes. and i'm so glad i did 💕 and i hope we can keep going like this for much much longer! 

and if you read this now and aren't a member yet but would like to join, you're always welcome!! no need to always be active, and as i said lurking is totally fine too! but maybe it will be fun for you and you might want to stick around?
