artblock is still holding my hand and won't let go. but i can see the finish line coming closer..! also, because this is my first time working with an assistant i had to adjust my workflow a little bit. just a bit, because luckily my assistant said i can just keep doing my thing as usual but as i said i don't want to overwork her right away when i give her uhh 30 panels to put flat colors on at once.
my workflow for lining panels is usually like -> line easy and fun panels so that i can see progress -> line panels i think are okay to do -> line panels i avoided to do because they're difficult (sweats) -> line favorite panels i really hope turn out great and am excited about so i saved them for last (yea i'm one of those people, i do this with food too!)
sooo all my pages have finished panels and unfinished ones but that's not really ideal and i hope i can find a nice middle ground over time ;; i also took a day to explain things to her properly, figuring out where problems are, giving tips. she's so fast in learning i'm so happy with the outcome so far, it's working really well <3
i think the scene is going to be exciting, but i hope it won't be too noticeable how much i struggled with it 😭 however a thing i can say for myself is that i really notice the improvement in art. i just can't apply it easily yet, but when the day comes....! 🔥 i'm ready
