here's what the finished (cropped version) guest art for kan's first volume of #muted looks like! it was super fun to draw them 💕 they're so soft (for each other)!! and i love them very much ; _;
scene 36 is in work, too, but it's not going as smoothly as i wanted, to be honest. i've been shuffling panels around and keep changing the monologue, and got stuck at one point. there are certain things i want to show that are very important, but they're kind of subtle, and i have to figure out how to properly depict them in panels. maybe i will cut the scene in half after all, and add some more pages instead. both boys a bit of a mess currently ('currently' i say djfhs), and their feelings for each other are too, and i just want to give it enough space..
while writing scenes i have clear pictures in my mind and the dialogue flows... of course after a while i have to change stuff a bit, because i keep improving my storytelling, too, but that's not the only thing that sometimes takes a bit longer. once i get to draw it, i have to choose which expressions and movements i want to show, a bit like in a movie - and most of the time it happens without me thinking too much. i do a lot of things because "it feels right". and most of the time the characters act on their own, they do things i haven't really planned (that's what adds the actual movement usually. like holding onto cups, or fidgeting with fingers etc). those are small things and i let them happen because i love when it happens <3
here i started to think too much halfway through and i accidentally got myself stuck a bit and it became kinda blurry. there is also a lot on my mind that's not really related to the scene itself but keeps interfering while i try to work on it and i hope i will figure it out soon. for now have a few panel wips <3 i'll keep you updated on the progress 💕🦌 please take care ily
