hey babies 😭 I've been sick for the past week with fever and all, and tbh I don't really have to show anything new to you. I took a break and I binged a lot of mangas and had 50 cups of tea. but I finally feel much better and while I prepared files for tomorrow I figured I could show you something else.

Robin's apartment! it's pretty big for just one person, it actually belonged to his parents before they moved, but it's his now mostly. they have quite the money but they would never flaunt with it. Robin appreciates the support, so he does follow their requests until he can pay the whole rent himself (... he couldn't say no to Noah and adopted Mimi though~)

I have to draw Robin's apartment 5billion times and luckily I was smart enough to build his apartment in 3D before I even started drawing the comic two years ago. I'm not always using it, but often enough, and it saved a lot of time already! back then it took me around 2 or 3 days to sketch the ground plan and building it, it was a lot of trial and error but it was worth it.

2. used a free floor plan creator / room planer I found on google (unfortunately don't know the name anymore) to add furniture etc and a clear shape:

3. actually built it in 3D in sketch-up! it's not perfect and very wonky here and there, I had to draw/build the lines of the walls and they don't close sometimes oops, but it's super helpful still:

you could probably also use Sims or similar games and build rooms and use them as refs for your characters. in short: being a comic artist comes also with finding ways to make it as easy as possible for yourself especially if you want to do this for years 🦌🌸 hope you enjoy the room tour~ (totally gave them a shower AND a bathtub. just because......... for reasons)

PS. the outter appearance of it can sometimes be seen in pages, too, and is from a real house! my partner lived in it for a few months and i was like "babe i need this for Robin" so they took some photos of it for me 🏠
