The Main Hall - AKA The Mews (Lore Public Post)

As one enters The Black Mirror, past the reception area, the main entrance leads us into The Main Hall (AKA: The Mews).

This massive space feels like a mix between a cathedral and a prison block. It’s divided by two hallways, one running south to north and the other west to east, into four Blocks, A to D, five stories high counting the ground floor. The Subs’ Rooms are set on the walls of the Blocks facing the halls from the first floor up, so subs don’t get much in terms of privacy as anything happening in their rooms is plain to see from the halls.

The Black Mirror aims to please all kinksters, with their different preferences and limits. To help accommodate in this regard, subs are placed in their rooms in a gender/sexuality spectrum, with the westernmost end of the halls would be for male-only action whilst the easternmost end would be for females only. As you walk towards the center things get more and more mixed till you reach the central hall, a mish-mash of Subs and Doms of all sex, genders, sexualities and background you can imagine.

With this in mind, and to keep those pesky Subs in line, the guards (to whom the subs usually refer as “Crows”) respond directly to the three Wardens. Warden Aidan, who’s in charge of the West Hallway; Warden Morrigan, in charge of the East Hallway; and Warden Gallen, who cares for the central South and North Hallways.

At the very core of The Mews, where the hallways connect, The Pillars mark the center of the facility, crowned by a stained glass dome. This is the most active spot of the whole place at any given moment, as busy Doms and Subs walk one way or another. And that’s why this is the spot where some punishments, that aim for exemplary action, or have a particular call for humiliation, take place.

All in all, The Main Hall is a labyrinth in the open, as you can be seeing something plain in front of you, but just happening in a different block. So in order to get there you might have to go find the nearest set of stairs, walk a whole block to find a bridge to cross, find another set of stairs and make all the way back. Or maybe it’s better to go up or down to stories so the bridge connecting the blocks is more convenient? Pesky Subs use this as a way to avoid The Guards when they’re misbehaving. On the other hand there’s usually plenty of Guards around to take care of things. But it all ends up in a constant flow of people moving (or running) one way or another in an ant-hill manner.

And at the very north of the central hallway, a massive two hinged door, all in black, marks the passage from The Main Hall to the hub that connects all The Black Mirror’s halls. Many will stay in The Mews. There’s definitely plenty to do there. But those who look for something more, and show that certain something no one can really explain, might catch the eye of one of the High Masters and Mistresses of The Mirror and be called upon their halls.

What happens there shall be explained some other time.

The Ground Floor has no rooms for it contains in its hallways a variety of facilities such as The Vacbed Walls, The Racks, The Box… All of them punishments aimed at displaying the punished to the whole population roaming The Mews. In this regard, the pinnacle of such displays is being put to The Pillars, held there for everyone to see in the most embarrassing display in the spot every single person at The Mews has to come by, usually at least a few times a day. And just for the most exemplary action, only when one of The Wardens or Lord Black himself call for it, The Perch are set in the very center of The Pillars, where natural light always shines, marking those bound there as free game for anyone to tease, use, mock and humiliate any way they want for 24 hours.

Block A is all about the Doms and Masters. They have the lobby to the hotel like facility that is the rest of the block up to the VIP penthouse in the 4th Floor; they have the Doms’ Lounge, a parlor where they can just rest, chat or dine while served by dutiful subs that provide food and drink as well as eye candy. If they want to relax in a more private area they have The Break Rooms, to which they can take their own service or use the one provided by the establishment.

Block B has The Canteen, where an actual legion of hungry and rowdy subs get served constantly. Some have to be helped due to lack of limb usage freedom… Everything’s been arranged. It also holds the kitchen, laundry and other necessities.

Block C is where naughty Subs usually go pay for their misconducts, or where Doms take the Subs for either programed or impromptu playtime, depending on the Subs’ regime. Lots of fancy toys there.

And Block D is all about cleanliness and hygiene of the Subs and Slaves. It’s conditioned to account for the fact not everyone is able to clean themselves due to their different stages of bondage. The Bath House provides for a nice break for those Subs who have free time and want to enjoy some relaxing bath, some scrubbing or some in depth cleaning.

1st Floor main feature is Block B, where Subs and Slaves health and fitness is taken care of. The Gym provides with plenty of different machines for the physical training (and eventually restraining) regardless of their bondage stage. Some machines and trainings might include a funny twist.

The Running Track may be used to help build up the Subs and Slaves’ stamina, but more often than not is used to train Ponyboys and girls, and this it’s surrounded with rigs and facilities adapted to that use such as adapted horse posts, a small stable for setting and adjusting gear, small training posts for the Doms and Masters to check on the trotting form of their ponies… All in all it’s a mostly enjoyable experience for all the parts involved.

Sometimes, just for fun, bitch races are held up before the pony ones. What with them being a lot slower, for the amusement of the audience there could be prizes for the winners, or there could be less restrained horny Slaves that are freed a fixed time behind the bitches. Those who get caught by these horny dogs are usually cheered with more enthusiasm than those who finish the race.

In Block D, above the open showers and bathroom facilities, a set of catwalks serve for the guards to keep tabs of what’s going on bellow, and naughty subs to just watch or cat call at their peers.

2nd Floor has a catwalk above The Gym for both guards and voyeurs, and the upper tier of the Running Track amphitheater, where the rowdiest crows usually gather and thus the presence of Guards is thicker (although, if in the excitement of the moment some get a little too cuddly, the Guards might look the other way).

Perhaps the most interesting feature of this floor lies on Block D, where The Infirmary helps those Subs and Slaves that got a little too carried away in their games, mostly caring for small bruises and scratches (It’s surprising how the lack of clothing exposes skin… Really surprising indeed). Sometimes a Sub comes in for a small booboo and, for some reason, ends up heavily strapped to a bed. They would probably argue had their mouths be free. When asked about it The Infirmary personnel claims that samples extraction and clinical analysis must me carried. And who would argue with medical staff.

But The Infirmary serves a second purpose that justifies why there’s a whole block floor for it, and that’s to provide a safe cozy environment for aftercare. The afterglow crush of a session can be hard for many Subs and Slaves. When a Master notices the Bathouse won’t do, they might take their Subs and Slaves to The Infirmary where specialized rooms provide for a nice relaxing aftercare ambience, soft music or white noise, scented oils to rub on those stiff limbs, and plenty of cushions on which to cuddle the worries away and, maybe, spend the night on.

The 3rd Floor holds The Spa, a refined facility where Doms and Masters are serviced by trained Subs (or Subs in training) in a relaxing environment. They might just chill while being served, make use of the different thermal pools, get a massage or all of the above.

Next to it is The Pool area. Here Doms and Masters can go for some laps and Subs and Slaves might train or participate in competitive events. During free play time, when the lanes are removed and Subs can just enjoy diving and swimming, subs in mertails and, sometimes, respirators swim in the deepest end of the pool. These Mersubs sometimes decide to tease some of the swimmers, snatch some swimsuits or, once in a while, catch a sub and put them in a respirator and weighted restraints for them to struggle in the bottom of the pool till they had their filling of games and play.

Block D has some interesting facilities. For starters there’s The Recreation Room. Here Subs and Slaves can spend their free time if their regime allows for it. Arcade machines and game consoles, sugary drinks and lots of puffs and cushions. There’s even an area in case they want to get cuddly with each other (provided their regime allows for it or no one snitches on them). A funny piece in this room is The Slots Machine. In this device Subs and Slaves lucky enough to have earned a token (often referred by them as “Mirrors”) for a reward that range from very different natures. Betting is always a risky business and you can end up with a naughty surprise in your hands, but that’s usually not a deterrent for Subs and Slaves with more heart than brains.

On the other side of the block there’s The Library. Subs and Slaves are encouraged to nurture their minds as well as their bodies, so they have a huge library at their disposal plus classes they can attend to (When their regime calls for it, some classes might be mandatory). This whole area is administrated by The Librarian, who the Subs fear even more than if he was one of The Wardens. There’s a small area where specific books and tomes are kept. This forbidden lore is held in The Archives, out of reach of most, be them Sub or Dom, Master or Slave, unless they have a special permission.

The 4th Floor has some very special features.

Block A holds the Doms’ Rooms Penthouse. Truly luxury rooms for VIP guests at The Mirror that can hold one to three Doms and their Subs would they decide to keep them in their room instead of one of the halls rooms.

Block B houses The Guards Quarters. It’s only here, or by order of The Wardens, The High Masters and Mistresses or Lord Black himself that they can remove their masks.

It’s also here The Wardens have their offices. If a Sub or Slave has to visit this offices it’s rarely for a good reason. That’s why the antechamber to their offices has been dubbed by the Subs as The Purgatory.

Block C has the Special Punishments dungeons, where Subs and Slaves who have earned a special treatment (for better or for worse) will meet pleasure and/or pain. This is also where The Wardens would take a Sub if they decide to take a personal approach to said Subs treatment. Rumor even has it that the same applies to Lord Black, but no one remembers a time when Lord Black had a personal session with a Sub from The Mews so it might as well be just a rumor.

And Block D is opened only for special occasions. The Auditorium would be used for special performances or in the case that special announcement requires the whole of The Mews to attend.

The Ballroom is where events and parties would be held. Doms and Masters would put on their best gear and decorate their Subs and Slaves in their best regalia to parade them. Sometimes and impromptu performance would arise for a Master to display their hard work on their slaves’ training. These are the rare instances when everybody knows where Lord Black’s going to be, for as long as anyone remembers he has never missed on of these events.
