Dungeon TF mini progress report (2023-03-16)

Some time since the last report.


So what is new, and the big question: When do we get another playable version?

I'm working hard on making the combat system go, but have to make sure, I won't burn out (or else no game at all).

There are also some external things, that take up time and energy, but mostly I try to concentrate on making this game work.

So what was I up to? Mostly this

Yep, having a more RPG style combat going on, with some inspiration from Pokemon.

Also music, but another post will be about that!

For the combat, I am thinking to have it Agility based, but also with rounds. So you give all your team mates commands and then they are executed, sorted by agility.

This means, the quickest goes first, to the slowest (also enemies are included of course, so if your team is very slow, the entire enemy team might get a punch, before you do).

I'd also like to include ambushes and such, but we'll see.

The crowns are important, as they mark the leader. Once the leader is gone (e.g. you), the entire team might surrender. (Or in your case, you lose)
That might change though, depending on how it plays.

Status effects will be a thing top, of course.

Also other stats might be a thing, we will see.
Currently I am at a stage, where I want make the teams a thing.

So now the big question.


When do we get another playable version?

At the current rate of things progressing and what is left to be done, I'd say early to mid April.

I might make an "over night snapshot" release, but we'll see. That would be in the last week of March anyway.

If things are done quicker, I'm going to upload a version earlier, of course!
