Wanted to add: I have always only been a visitor to Hip Hop (due to Em… he’s been my guilty pleasure) then Ren brought me back in.. but it is your breakdowns that help me really understand the music.. I now appreciate Kendrick, Jo Cole etc.. so just thank you for helping us understand and appreciate the music on a different and deeper level!! Don’t stop, as you are making a difference!!! Thank you!! And YES break down your own songs.. as nobody else is doing it justice… the only reactor that came close was SnakeVenomV… but he only did 1-2 of your songs 😔

2024-09-16 23:53:59 +0000 UTCI really appreciate everything you do, and the variety you bring us! And I'm sure you're a great dad, even though you sometimes have to be away from the family! :-) If you are feeling a bit burnt out or are wanting to focus on your own music more, I wonder if you could slowly cut back on how many reactions you do each week. However, I have no idea what kind of impact that might have on the almighty YT algorithms. On a different note, I'd love to see you break down your own songs (and here's another vote to see your lyrics)! BTW, please know that your hardcore fans will be here to support you, regardless of what you do for us Patrons. Big hugs to you and the fam!

2024-09-16 23:11:25 +0000 UTCi appreciate the answer, although if i had meant it negatively, i would have chose a different word like deceive, i chose mislead specifically because it had the least amount of negativity assosciated with it. i guess it wasnt the best example so sorry for that.

2024-09-16 19:52:16 +0000 UTCHaving a bit of a rough patch myself rn and therefore struggling to find the right words to express this (especially in English, my brain seems to really insist on only thinking in Finnish today), but... Thought the book question would be a nice brief distraction from all of it. :) Here's my ramblings about the ones I'm reading, feel free to skip if you don't have time or sth: I'm a librarian, so I always have a book I'm reading at work, for work, but on my free time, I go through phases. Sometimes all I do is read and other times I don't pick up a book in months (except at work, as stated earlier). - At work, my area of responsibility is teenagers, so my job entails having knowledge of and reading books aimed at them. A customer returned a book called Girl in Pieces by Kathleen Glasgow and it looked interesting, so I started reading it. I think it's a bit too much for 13-16yo's, so I technically shouldn't even be reading it at work, but I can't put it down either. It's way too graphic for that age demographic, and also, we only have it in English, so the language barrier might be an issue. (I was in high school = 16-18yo when we were first assigned to read a book in English for school and write a report on it, and teacher recommended to pick either a book aimed at 9-12yo's, or a book one's read before in Finnish. I read the first Harry Potter book, since I had read it in Finnish twice before.) It's about a 17-18yo girl, who's had a very rough life, with her dad committing suicide, mom becoming abusive, self harm, living on the street, substance abuse, being sex trafficed, trying to commit suicide herself, being hospitalized, then trying to re-build her life on her own with no money and no education... I'm near the end there and she might be getting there, but I'm not at all sure if this book is going to have a happy ending or not. Either way, my next book after this will be one of the Diary of a Whimpy Kid's that local teens are obsessed with, I need something very light-hearted after this... - In the evenings I try to read Post Office by Charles Bukowski. I started reading it months ago (has it been months? it feels like it's been months), when Ren recommended it on that interview he did with you. It's another classic I haven't read before, and I really liked Animal Farm, which I read when he released Animal Flow. Plus it's VERY different from the stuff I usually read on my own - or at work, really - which is mostly "chick lit", but the more hard-hitting end of that genre. My escape from reality is focusing on someone else's problems for a change, lmao. My favorite author is Holly Bourne, for a multitude of reasons: 1) She's British. I prefer British authors over American and Finnish authors, because Americans tend to be way too dramatic and theatrical to the point that it's not realistic anymore, and Finnish authors tend to be a bit too realistic to the point of being boring. The Brits are on that sweet spot in between. 2) Recurring themes in her work include feminism and mental health issues, both of which I'm passonate about. 3) Idk, just the way she writes... There's not a single book in her bibliography that I haven't liked. She manages to feel so familiar and like she's "speaking my language", like I GET her, and yet every single one of her books has managed to surprise me and make me go "whaaat???". Also, each one has both made me laugh out loud and also brought me to the verge of tears or made me cry, and I like that emotional release. Anyway, I'm not sure yet how I feel about Post Office. So far, it's been a pleasant surprise. I like how real and realistic it is, the main character seems surprisingly deep (no offense but yes offense - male authors very often have the thinnest cardboard characters I've ever seen and zero character development - not all of them, I'm sure you're better than that, and so are i.e. Jeff Kinney and this Finnish author Aleksi Delikouras, but anyway) and despite being a quite awful person, I find myself rooting for him more often than I expected to. We'll see, depends on if the book ends where it begun and therefore might just as well not existed at all, or if there's something to look forward to in the end. - In the mornings, I've been reading / trying to read The Icepick Surgeon by Sam Kean. It's a nonfiction book about horrible stuff people have done in the name of science and it's fascinating, IMO. Currently in the chapter about grave robbers who sold the corpses to biologists. - I'm also currently "reading" Can't Stop Won't Stop by Jeff Chang, a book that goes very deep into the history of hiphop. Except I'm being a perfectionist and also watching all the movies and documentaries and listening to all the albums the book recommends before moving on to the next chapter (the stuff I can get my hands on, anyway), so it's a slow process. I've read three chapters now, hiphop hasn't been invented yet, but we're getting there. Meanwhile, while I'm watching/listening the recommendations, I read The Icepeak Surgeon.

2024-09-16 19:38:24 +0000 UTCI remember forgot about McKay but it was more about his feelings about that person and it made me look at the scenery behind him and made it more beautiful but I'm talking about more of an instrumental that doesn't have an underlying meaning. Like morning mood by Edvard Grieg or hall of the mountain king. I didn't know McKay so I can only guess at what Rens feeling but if the songs name was sunrise(sunset) in the desert it would absolutely make me imagine that background. You have met Ren and can get more from McKay I was thinking of looking at it from a point of view that you wouldn't know anything underlying any more than your audience. I just didn't want to try and explain all of that in my question because I'm sure anyone who sees your q&a and saw McKay and doesn't personally know Ren knows what l mean. I hope that helps. I love your breakdowns and I just want more and thought it would help thx for the q&a and your music so never stop ♥️👍😁

2024-09-16 19:37:07 +0000 UTCI figured you were a fantasy fiction fan. I've always loved R.A.Salvatore . Drizzt is my hero . I'm currently doing audiobooks because I haven't had time to sit down and read( I have a tendency to finish a book in one sitting if it's not more than 3 or 4 hundred pages lol) but it helps to relax me when I'm doing chores and things that I don't have to think about. I'm currently on Lindsay Burroker. She brings Tolkien and Salvatore into our world like they are on the closest inhabitable planet. Just a suggestion to maybe help with the chaos that you feel like you're dealing with right now. I know it. I only repeat reading a book when I get too busy to find a new author so I go to the best book I have worth repeating. so try audiobooks and see if that helps and I have suggestions for authors just shout! 🤗

2024-09-16 18:30:56 +0000 UTCI appreciate you taking time to interact with your fans. Thank you for explaining why it's not as simple as it seems to get your lyrics out there. Maybe your next single should be titled "YouTube red tape" and just lay it all out for everyone. Lol
