4-26-2024: (iris only for now) *recommended preset: 'Medium_Subtle'

-better auto exposure defaults: less blow out and over-saturation

-restored the main cloud layer, it's been missing since i added algae

-fixed default moon brightness being too dark last time

4-25-2024: (iris only for now)

-Auto Exposure: 

    -currently in menu: testing/exposure, you can turn it off or adjust it

    -shows HDR range of the lighting in a dynamic way, adjusting to where you look, making transitioning from bright to dark areas feel more dynamic, and allowing you to see more detail in both dark and bright areas.

     -the speed of the adjustment and just about everything else has sliders to adjust it.

    -I'll add tooltips later

*I'm back on the water banding issue

4-22-2024: (iris only for now)

-lightning: has all sort of options now

-no more seam in sky from lightning

-rainbows have a new more elusive mode 5 which is default, this fixes the lightning occlussion problem

-new storm menu has rain, snow, lightning options

-water menus reworked to be less overwhelming and more organized

-no more sun black box bug when drawing particles in pathtracing

-particles should all draw over sky in default configs

*defaulted off the new water/fog blending as it has a bouncy bug when walking

-texture filtering no longer has flickering glitches on sides of grass and leaves

-texture filtering no longer makes entities invisible, it's disabled on them for now

-'Borders' Toon Shader is now in Quick Style Menu

-default preset is close to medium subtle but not perfect, not sure why, so please start with a preset

*working on water/fog/glass/weather blending

*redoing dynamic clouds to fix bugs

4-20-2024: (iris only for now)

-background lightning, defaulted on. its Lit_proc or something, i'll add tool tips and a dedicated storm menu

-smoother algae and fog, but still working on banding

4-16-2024: (iris only for now)

 -this is a lot of testing in progress stuff, nothing solid but that medium preset should run a lot better and clouds should be faster. I went from 90 to 140 fps by de-branching the code.

-algae and water variation are in testing menu, it's algae, shade algae, and they probably need biome water on. Ocean depths setting just changes the shading that creates the strata

-daily weather is in testing menu

-without algae, water banding is a lot better but still bad. Fog banding if almost completely gone

-added optional extra cloud layers and extra optional gaps between layers, and cloud layer menu. I might need to fix defaults still . The upper atmosphere clouds do not denoise well and shimmer really bad at low res

*I noticed a bug that the sun was drawing a black box when somewhere above 6 regular render distance, only noticed this now cause I've been using distant horizons and only like 6 render distance lately

-testing menu rendering options has attempts to render rain and snow in the pathtracing, they show over clouds but ruin lighting, I need to give them thier own buffer and add them in after at least 2 light bounces

 -fixed bugs drawing entity items and some entities

4-9-2024: (iris only for now)

-lightning flashes light up the sky and might light up close clouds if it's working right

-water light color absorption now works on torches and reflections/bouncelight, fixed fog/refraction errors

-water color absorption and fog now guaranteed to work from outside water looking in

-experimenting with daily weather: Testing/daily_weather and cos_scroll: IT'S BUGGY but use both if you want to try it

-glass refracts light and reflects it

*working on water/glass, particles, weather

4-7-2024: (iris only for now)

-fixed torchlight bugs, should work as intended now, wasn't lighting up everything

-restores integrated pbr to trees and grass, they should look a lot better now

-medium_subtle is new medium that looks like high

-medium is optimized, lower sky resolution, less light bounces, less godray distance casted from terrain

*for now the toon shader outline size is determined by Quick_Performance/Sky_resolution_divider. the video is set to 5

4-3-2024: (iris only for now)

-clouds look much cleaner and less gritty

*medium 4 3.txt is the newer medium config that will be a preset soon, it looks close to high but is ~2-5x faster

I'll add where I'm at later today. Besides redoing all the glass and water I am also redoing some of the clouds because I noticed the low ones are not always present during rain and I want them always present during rain. I'm not sure if I'll get that fixed today but it will at least have the lightning code.
