Great reaction. ^^ Glad you liked it and yes, the chorus is beautifully haunting and you can hear the aggression of the "Daddy". Well, with that said, a few background infos for all of you, which will answer a few questions you had in this reaction. Rapture is a dystopian underwater city and the cause of that state were two things: First, no laws, rules and regulations of the world above since this was seen as oppressive and the sole reason Rapture was funded by Andrew Ryan. Second, the discovery of ADAM, a substance which allows gene-splicing to gain special abilities like telekinesis or shooting lightning from you hands. And it was widely promoted and used by the citiziens, thus they were called Splicers. Well... excessive splicing does lead to psychotic behaviour and voiila, on new years eve of 1959 the city went to hell. Just a small fun fact, the reason all splicers wear these strange masks is that on new years eve there was a big masqerade with masks designed by Sander Cohen and everyone invited was wearing thus. ;) Back to ADAM. While this stuff gives you supernatural abilities, another substance called EVE was needed to fuel these abilities, thus the line "I got EVE but I need ADAM..." Without an ability spliced into your genes with the help of ADAM, EVE was just a nice blue glowing liquid. In short, ADAM was really valuable and... it could be retrieved from dead bodies and that was the task of the Little Sisters. Orphans (or kidnapped) little girls which were genetically changed to be... strange and creepy? I mean, they use a big syringe to extract the ADAM from the dead and drink it to store it. oO But with all the ADAM in their possesion, they were a big tasty target for every splicers down there and needed protection. Thus, the BIg Daddys were created. Genetically modified men, brainwashed and slave-like loyal to the Little Sisters, wearing an armored deep dive suit and carrying "weapons" like a rivet launcher or drill used in the maintence of Rapture. And oh boy, they took their job serious. One step to close to a Little Sister and they bounced you through a wall. As for the protagonist in Bioshock 2, that is Johnny Topside aka Delta, the first Big Daddy and the Little Sister he was bonded to was his own daugther who went missing in Rapture. So... he is basically a daddy in two ways to her. Alright, thats far longer than anticipated, thanks and sorry to all who read till here.
