My HDD just died
Added 2018-01-27 20:16:07 +0000 UTCHey, I sometimes mention that I have a crappy HDD. Well, its time finally came. It seems to have passed to a better life. What this means is that I lost the work I put into the custom doru for the month and that I will have to do it again :'(
But there are two good news. I work on the main project in my second PC, which is fine, so the project is not affected. The other good news is that I have a subscription to backblaze, so all of my data, which includes the project's, is safely backed up online. It's most likely that the only thing I lost is the custom doru.
I'm expecting a new HDD I ordered some weeks ago from the U.S. (which is not where I'm from, and it's cheaper), but I have no ETA for it. Might take a couple of weeks.
Update: turns out I have lost way more than I thought. For some reason, backblaze did not backed up everything.
Update 2: I lost one month of work on the project's assets. Not on the Unity project itself though, but still, I feel pretty bad right now.

2018-01-30 16:33:41 +0000 UTCThe thing that makes it all worst is that I had back up. I subscribed with Backblaze, which was supposed to be very good. At the end, their backups where a month out of date. I back up the project itself with GitHub, so that's an extra precaution I always take.

2018-01-30 16:30:25 +0000 UTCDamn! You should always have a backup. ALWAYS. Especially, when it is a project followed by others. Imagine if you didn't have anything left. It would kill the project. Most people learn that the hard way. Sorry for you loss of data. Please be more careful in the future. get an external drive at minimum, and always have an updated copy of your stuff on it . I Hope you can recover quickly.
