Small shift in development
Added 2017-10-27 17:54:53 +0000 UTCI've decided to make a small change in my development strategy. Instead on focusing on working on things that will serve as a foundation for the rest of the game, I will now go ahead and just start working on the game itself. That means that I will now work directly on what I want the story and the playable game itself to be.
For order's sake I wanted to have everything perfectly done before start doing the levels and the gameplay, so that when I get to that point, everything flows flawlessly. But I'm seeing now that this path could take me a while, and I wouldn't have anything tangible to show, as most of what I would be doing would be code and project management.
I want to have appreciable pieces of the game to show after long work sessions, both for you, my patrons, and for my own motivation.
I will now begin working on the game I envisioned from the beginning, and not on the base for it. As a result, progress will not be as smooth as I wanted it to be, but now, hopefully, we will start seeing the game taking form.
I will keep working now.

big solo projects are always a mix of doing the things that have to be done, and doing the stuff you want to do so that you don't burn out.
