End of the Month Update: August 2021

Hello patrons! I completely missed the beginning of the month update because life has been hectic. Technically, I'm homeless right now. I'm not out on the street, I'm living in an extended stay (basically a roomy hotel room with a kitchen) and have been focused on writing and trying not to get COVID. 

Consequently, I haven't been modding much. But I've had a few ideas of what I'm going to work on:

Storytelling Socials

Truth be told, I'm not totally happy with the last update. The next one will have some fine tuning. I'm happy I figured out weights for interactions, but some of the interactions don't have tests for certain situations and are a bit janky. I'm working on it.

I've had a few ideas for interactions. I had a really good one... that I've unfortunately forgotten. But I just had an idea: interactions for Childhood Phases that come with Parenthood. Rebellious teens, for example, can have more interactions. I also still want to implement interactions for positive values traits, I just can't think of any for the really underpowered ones, like Compassionate. One like "Express Compassion" could be really good, though—a powerful interaction that can ease negative moods. Or maybe you can do it to someone you dislike!

As far as the Dark Addon, I've likewise had a few ideas... and forgotten a few. "Blame Parent for Divorce" is a big one that I just haven't implemented yet.

Easy Sentiment Cheats

I've gone back to work on this. Of course, with every Expansion Pack comes new sentiments... not looking forward to that. But still, I've added about five Remove Sentiment interactions.

Better Autonomy 

I think a beta version of this is almost ready to go. I need to test it on a household with almost every fun interaction's autonomy enabled. One thing I really want to do is prevent them from watching TV when they're having a conversation with someone; it drives me nuts. Sims also practice writing as intended. What are some other skills you wish Sims built on their own? Let me know.

Small Mods

To be honest, I haven't made any small mods lately that I plan to release. However, let me know if any of these appeal to you:

• No Food Smell Good Reaction: disables Sims smelling good food
• No Bubble Blower Reactions
• No Notebook Carrying (University)
