Introducing Runebrace
Added 2025-06-21 21:37:07 +0000 UTCAt Artisan Guild, we’ve been delivering professionally pre-supported STL files for years, ensuring clean removals and perfect detail retention.
At Artisan Guild, we know supports. Every model is conceived, designed, and sculpted by Andrea, and supported by Renato — a 3D professional since 1987 and an experienced developer of software and plugins. This allows us to guarantee even the tiniest detail and every single support.
Together, we’re pushing our standards even higher. it’s time for an upgrade.
After months of development and testing, we’re proud to introduce Runebrace, our new internal support system. Built by and for professional modelers, Runebrace allows us to support complex models in half the time, with even better precision — from delicate goblin teeth to intricate armor engravings and fur.
What’s changing?
Until now, we’ve used external slicers for all supported STLs. Starting next month, one character in your bundle will be prepared using Runebrace. This won’t affect the quality or the ease of use — in fact, you might not even notice, aside from how cleanly the supports work.
This introduction is perfect for testing how the new files perform across thousands of printers. If all goes as expected, Runebrace will become our main method of support preparation soon, allowing us to deliver even more detail and consistency in less time.
We understand that any change in file format can raise concerns. But know this:
Our top priority remains unchanged — to give you beautifully designed, expertly supported miniatures that are a joy to print, collect and paint.

Why Runebrace?
Unlike other slicers, Runebrace was built to solve specific issues we face daily. In other tools, we were spending 30–50% of the total support time fixing unwanted entanglements and manually reinforcing supports. This not only slowed us down, but often led to wasted resin and hard-to-remove artifacts.
With Runebrace, we can:
Place only the supports that are truly needed — no plastic waste, no useless resin knots.
Avoid random intersections between supports, reducing detachment issues.
Automatically generate optimized reinforcements without the need to fix them manually.
Work with a system that features built-in pathfinding and smart support logic, allowing for faster and more optimized reinforcement placement.
Instantly fix mesh errors using a smoothbrush tool with auto island detection — no more manually patching geometry in external programs.
Avoid corrupted scene issues: Runebrace uses an open scene format that lets us recover and fix files , with no delays or external dependencies.
A new smart hollowing system is in development to help automate internal voids and drainage holes with precision — saving resin and time without compromising model strength.
The result? Cleaner supports, faster prep time, less post-processing.
That’s why Runebrace is becoming our new standard.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I still use Lychee?
Yes, for now all of our collections are still prepared using Lychee. However, if Runebrace performs as expected and improves our workflow significantly, we may gradually transition to Runebrace as our main support system. Will I be able to modify the supports?
Absolutely. Runebrace will be made available to all our subscribers, allowing you to easily edit supports as needed. It is fully compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux.Do I need to install a new program to print the supported files?
No. If you simply want to print the pre-supported STL files, you don’t need to install anything. Runebrace is only required if you wish to customize or adjust the supports manually.Got questions or want to try Runebrace early?
Join our Discord! Renato, our support expert and developer of Runebrace, is there to help and would love to hear your feedback.
Thank you, as always, for your trust and support.
We can’t wait to see what you print next!

2025-06-22 15:53:35 +0000 UTCI've been post processing models through Houdini for similar reasons. I am very interested to hear more about Rune Brace. Is there a link to the Discord where we can discuss Rune Brace?

2025-06-22 14:25:47 +0000 UTCThis software is focused solely on generating supports. It produces a supported STL file that you can import into slicers like Lychee. It’s not a slicer itself and doesn’t generate printer-ready files.

2025-06-21 23:01:36 +0000 UTCIs this new software also a slicer, will it output files that can go directly to my printer?
