January Trailer - Welcome to the ashen Scourgelands!

Greetings, Adventurers, Merchants, and Collectors!
As we approach the end of December, I want to extend my warmest holiday greetings and best wishes for the New Year to all of our supporters and followers. May the coming year be filled with joy, creativity, and, of course, epic adventures! 🎇 Now, let's dive into what's coming this January...

I'm thrilled to invite you all to turn up the volume and immerse yourselves in the trailer for our January 2024 release. This set is incredibly close to my heart, as it delves into the ashen depths of Aera, a realm ensnared by the Tyrant-God Tialevor, and one of my favorite settings to explore.

The Scourgelands have inspired me immensely, a desolate expanse inhabited by the Ashen Alfar, where the wind carries the echoes of a once vibrant civilization now reduced to whispers amidst the ash.
This land, much like my home of La Palma during its most turbulent times in 2021 during the volcanic eruption and the ashes raining from the sky, resonates with the raw, untamed spirit of survival and the stark beauty of nature (even in the harshest times).

Though I thought about taking a break after more than 50 months of continuous creation, the call of the Scourgelands was too potent. A few quick, dynamic lines against a blank canvas brought the wind-swept dune leapers and ashen Alfar to life once again, compelling me to craft this special set of assassins and their fearsome Zeek companions.

The original sketch of the Ashen Alfar Assassin made around day 6 december, that made me change idea and impulsed me to start sculpting.

Join me in witnessing the embodiment of this ashen world come to life. Let's brave the Scourgelands together and uncover the mysteries and might of the Ashen Alfar!
Until then, keep your imaginations wild and your adventures epic!

Warm regards, Andrea

I second this, an Arthurian Style release would be nice, Peasants / Man-at-Arms, Knights, Arthur like Hero and hooded Morgaine as Spellcaster.

Nathanael Huber

Release date?

Clifton Grafton

Giant Fleas? I know that there are monstrous, giant fleas for Pathfinder 1st edition, at least...

Mercurius

Whoa, They are amazing. I feel strong Morrowind vibes. Absolutely love them all.

Zdeněk Dejdar

I think the Fighter's Guild for good generic fighters. The Requiem Brotherhood is really good also but I'm not a fan of the skulls for royal guards or prestige knights. The only really ornate armor I've seen is 'Harguul Blade of the Roses' . Some of the real life historical armors belonging to emperors and kings are 'AMAZING' just something I'm keen on, not sure if anyone else is :)

demonwombatofdoom

Nice point!! Thanks for the idea!! The only thing I miss is the kind of grial knights helmet and chivalry spears, but for sure it will work!!

Bernat Rovira Lastra

I have an army put together of human fighter’s guild and Requiem Brotherhood horses to fill that role. Add in some arcane guild for spell casters.

Matthew Jones

I think the Fighter’s Guild and Arcane Guild releases cover most of this except the brute and jester, the concubine could come from various sets depending on what you are looking for (one of the heroes from this next set gives me jester vibes without the hat but I figure you are wanting all human).

Matthew Jones

Love this set. So cool. Do the the cavalry creatures resemble anything from DND? Any ideas what they could proxy for if not?

Lee Bailey

Awesome, But take a break when you need. Don't want you to burn out. But if you are in need of ideas I wouldn't mind seeing a Human Royal Guard set. The best of the best humans in ornate and pristine armor and weapon, Pin up can be royal concubine. Heroes could be a old wise knight, or a mountain of brute strength, or even the court Jester :)

demonwombatofdoom

Ah, please no animal folk and Japanese theme. I feel like every miniature patreon does this eventually. I have zero use for these, and I don't think this is just me.

The Daruma

Those Zeeks are the most toe-curling, horrifying things you have made. And I mean that in the most complimentary way possible. Awesome! :)

Martin Dickson

You know it my fellow N'wah! Hahaha!

Abdul Rahman Khan

Awesome set!! Epic boss was an awesome surprise, When I saw 'Zeek' I assumed it would look similar to the old Scourgelands Zeek - but both the boss and the cavalry are awesome additions :O

Mini Manatee

Can really see the Morrowind inspiration coming through. Very cool. Especially love the mounts. Silt Striders are cool creatures. Nice work Andrea, these will make excellent Drow for D&D.

Mario

Mine too! NPC around town, bad guys, player characters... you name it! I love to let the models give me new ideas for NPCs! I get sad when I have to use a model that isn't AG because they might be scaled a little different or just not fit right.

Matthew Jones

My D&D campaign is like 99% Artisan guild minis. Every month the models are amazing.

DarthVadersMom

Please, kind of Bretonnia Knights!!!! A kickstarter would be awesomely to have a whole army!!!!

Bernat Rovira Lastra

Nice job!!! They all look amazing. I really like the video and seeing them painted that really helps me out with painting them. I think they are great and I love the way you sculpted them. I think I will print everything on this one. You are very talented!!! Thank you for your hard work!!!

Brent Staker

Amazing. I only wish I could use the Scourgeland Survivor on those calvary bugs. Would be amazing.

James DiMatteo

Truly wild! Thanks Matthew!

Artisan Guild

Thanks Joe!

Artisan Guild

Thank you so much! You'll need some ash masks!

Artisan Guild

Hello Christopher! Thank you so much :) I was checking those at the beginning of the month, and I honestly really like them, I would not change a thing. But to expand them in the future, for sure!

Artisan Guild

A man of culture!

Artisan Guild

Thank you Dylan!

Artisan Guild

Thank you so much! Those behind the ashmasks are some ashglass crystal decoration, but you can paint them as hairs :)

Artisan Guild

thank you so much Nenad!

Artisan Guild

I need to make better saddles haha

Artisan Guild

I love them ALL but those cavalry are WILD!!! And I really like the painted views! Helps with ideas on how to approach some things while painting.

Matthew Jones

Looks fun. Would love to see a fey theme, or other animal folk. Turtle, owl, rabbit, crow, tiger etc... A samurai theme would also be cool. Long katana and cool armors

Joe

I jointed for the December Plague, Def sticking with it for this!

Drew Smith

This makes me really want to see the scourgeland survivors revisited. That was the first collection I purchased from Artisan Guild so they are pretty nostalgic for me.

Christopher Stevens

Oh yea! Dunmer Ashlanders!

Abdul Rahman Khan

Another amazing set! Can't wait :)

Dylan Quinn

Damn I love the mounts and the Spiky hair under the helmets. Realy freaking cool. The concept of the mounts is realy unic I think and I realy like unic things. 😄

Akihisa Futjimoto

The cavalry units have just knocked me off my chair

Julian Fragdoch

Another stellar set! The armor and masks look sooooo good!!
