March Trailer: meet the Orr'ugs!

Edit: I should have mentioned that all Orr'ugs in the set are on 30mm base and are roughly 38mm to the eyes, like our previous orcs.
They can easly resized up for some ogre size creatures of course.
Wolves are on 50mm bases as always and the Bear god is on 100mm base.

Hello friends!
first of all, I'd like to thank you for the overwhelming amount of comments, feedback and suggestions regarding the upcoming release. Thanks also for voting in the Poll, and for choosing the Bear, a creature I haven't worked on for years and probably wouldn't have chosen if it weren't for you :)
The bear won both on Patreon and Tribes, it's absolutely the best choice for the upcoming set.

The Orr'ugs of the Steppes

I had so many questions about certain details of the sculptures to be made for March: I had wanted to make half-orcs-half-ogre barbarians of the steppes for a long time, but I didn't quite know how to make them.
After tons of sketches on napkins, hours of research, and your feedback, I can finally say to have built a strong clan of characters that I've grown very fond of.

As always, all character are modulars (balljoint wrists) so you can build the kind of army or encounter (or hero) you need, and there's a quiete large selection of weapons.
All modular Orr'ugs comes with and without hat to make sure you have more options :)

You are invited to turn on the audio and watch the video presentation.
See you in the next few days, the Nomad Orr'ugs set will be live around March 2-3.

See you soon!

This is the perfect set. I wish the shaman model (the pin-up) was also just a normal model. The head/shoulders sculpt is amazing - but I couldn't drop that pinup model on my DnD table. It feels like a waste. I am sure some folks love the pinup - for me personally, I wish I had another model to field in my game. Just my opinion. Thanks for listening.

Aaron Smith

I subscribed for the bear. The bear is awesome.

B. Griffith

But on the plus side, it can be used for just about anything else.

Steven Schnepp

Overall, these are fantastic, but the pinup feels a little... I dunno. Lacking, I guess. Or NOT lacking, I should say - all the "pinup" version's lost is a loincloth. Because digital kitbashing is so easy even with my VERY limited blender skills, I'd far prefer the skimpy version to be wearing as little as possible - that way you can just add things back on (or not). (Also, the khan would've been a more interesting pinup option to begin with, IMO, just for the sake of doing a different body type. But maybe that would be of less interest to a lot of my fellow patrons; IDK.)

I love the tusks and the armor on the orcs. The bear on the other hand, is really dissappinting imo. It could fit in any basic bear pack, its not tied to any of the orcs, which is a shame. If it was covered in the awesome leather armor, or if it carried some of the tusks, it would tie it to the orcs way more.

Daniel søgaard Geiser

I really like those hands with leather armor on.

Michael Gärtner Nielsen

Really? I’ve been subscribed for years and I didn’t realize that. Awesome!!

B. Griffith

These are just truly wonderful, love the influence of the eastern aesthetic! Looking forward to March (as I continue to print this month’s goblins 🤣)

Brandon Ryan

scale it down to 25... wont effect print quality at all

miked0227

The only difference between the tribal and non-tribal one is the head, so you can use either body with it :)

Mini Manatee

... man I wish these were 25mm bases. 30 is juuuust a little oversize for my battle map grids

Lasse Jensen

The tamed(?) tribal version of the bear feels like it could really use more decorations than just the braids on the head. Some chunks of armour in the same style as the Orr'ug, with tribal markings, would really elevate it. Personally, I'm not keen on the arrows sticking into his hide. Is there going to be a tribal version without the arrows? If they were sticking into the aforementioned armour, I think the effect would work better.

Rob Silvester

The bear made this month worth it. He is amazing

Daniel Henry

Is there a recommended scale option (%) to size these down to Orcs?

Joshua Plunkett

Thanks. They look so nice ... I just have to decide if I want to upscale them to fit my Ogre army, or downscale to fit my Orc army ... I'm leaning towards "both" <3

Benjamin

38mm to eyes most of them :)

Artisan Guild

Saddles are always compatible with all riders :)

Artisan Guild

<p style="color: #008600;">These miniatures just look like perfect work. I can't understand why you haven't created a bear before, it's an amazing creature. You made him great, it looks so fierce</p>

VitAnyaNaked

Are these Orc sized, or Ogre sized by default?

Benjamin

Will I be able to put the goblinriders from this month on the wolves without cutting them? I would love some wolf riding Goblins :)

sebastian stein

Looks terrific, but what are the chances we could get hairless variants of the orcs? As someone who grew up on bald Warhammer orcs, I just don't love orcs with hair or beards. I'd love to be able to make more use of these without having to heavily modify heads...

Mercurius

I love these! I can’t wait to field them with this months goblins!

Matthew Jones

Seriously I love your models since day one but your nordic themed ones are something else! Orcs, Dwarves and Trolls are my all time favorites by far!

Guillaume Dutscher

That Bear is sick...

Bryan Carroll

Anyone else get awesome Heroes of Might and Magic 3 Stronghold vibes from this set?
