Craftworld Live on Dumlok Flameseeker!

Hello guys!
We are making a new collaboration with our super talented friends at Craftworld Studios!
There will be an epic livestream on Saturday 4PM CET and the protagonist will be a Dumlok Flameseeker (a lady Dark Flame Dwarf from this monthly release).

If you are not a patron here at Artisan Guild, you will be able to download this figure from their post and paint it with them :)

They will make a tutorial on how approach a very special Fire Skin, since this is the theme of this month. We can't wait to see what they will do, honestly 100% of the model they paint are jawdropping, and this new figure is really perfect to show some spectacular paintjob.

I haven't seen any discount codes recently, have there been any?

Hi Kristopher, This isn't just to you, but everyone who expressed disappointment at not getting a quick reply. Please take this as it's meant, which is just a different point of view, and not an attack. There are many reasons why an artist may not reply to a post. It could be anything from them simply not wanting to, through resenting having to justify every decision they make, or genuine time restraints, to mental health problems. It must be gruelling to have your work criticised so often, and feel they owe an explanation for everything they do, and to thousands of people; especially when they're working so hard to meet a tight deadline. The notice of the livestream is in addition to the rewards in the tiers, and in no way diminishes the contract or the terrific value we get as patreons. It seems to me, that the notice was just to promote another artist's work, which I don't think is unreasonable. But, it was done in a slightly clumsy way, giving the impression we could see the livestream. Personally, I don't think the $10 I pay each month entitles me to criticise every minor failing, or to any more of the artists time. I too would have loved to see the livestream, or at least a recording of it. I don't think asking to see it was unreasonable, but expecting a quick reply was. So long as they continue to deliver the things set out in the tier rewards, I'm happy, and anything else is a bonus. At worst, not making sure the Artisan's Guild patreons could see the video was is very slightly inconsiderate. But, if you don't think it's a good deal to support another artist to watch their video, then you have the option not to. As I say, although all this sounds harsh, I really don't mean to be disrespectful to you. The Artisan's Guild is just a couple of artists, obviously passionate about their work, not some faceless conglomerate. It's easy to forget this, and we could all try to be a bit more compassionate. I think in today's consumerist world, it's easy to lose a bit of perspective and feel aggrieved at the merest slight. But, as you allude to in your comment, Francesca, Andrea and Gino work extremely hard and deliver such great value for our support, I think we can cut them some slack from time to time. If I have crossed a line, I apologise unreservedly. Artisan's Guild, thank you for all of your hard work, I'm still not sure how you do it. Peace and love, everyone. Adrian.

Adrian

okay, Thanks^^

Not sure if it's the same issue I had but most of the discount codes have an expiration date.

Hey Brandon, I appreciate your comment and point of view as a small business owner. I completely agree on the models being excellent and unique; they have a detail to them without trying to be over the top realistic. I am not a small business owner, so I can only give the point of view as a consumer, which is another reason why I appreciate your view point, but the questions I, as well as others, were asking, were to eliminate the confusion, unfortunately it had the added detriment of being time sensitive. I don't believe any of us were actively trying to be ungracious or unappreciative, we were just looking for more information before we missed out on what was going to be artists painting on an already beautiful canvas. Again, I appreciate your comment and will look to make sure my future comments don't come across negatively. Cheers.

Kristofer

Owning a small business myself, I know how taxing it is to constantly be on the computer trying to keep up with people's comments. I appreciate AG simply for their models and the support they do provide. As far as I'm aware, it's literally just the 2 of them who make the whole thing run and I can't imagine the amount of time it takes to produce this many sculpts each month (and so consistently that are excellent and unique; the first few months would be much easier rather than trying to constantly make something fresh and exciting). I think people need to have a bit more grace and appreciation...

Brandon

What the boss discount code? WHOISTHEBOSS? does not work

Renan

Thank you AG for the comment and update, it, along with all the models are greatly appreciated. Though the question still remains, will the tutorial be posted somewhere for Patreon members to be able to watch how they painted your model? For all of us, the link only sent us to Craftworld's Patreon page, so many of us couldn't make the livestream due to the confusion, and now we aren't sure if it was to get us to subscribe to them or if there was some link that we missed to be able to watch as Artisan Guild patrons. Any information on this would help with the confusion. Thank you again. Cheers.

Kristofer

I'm sorry, Kristofer. We try to keep up with all the messages we receive on Patreon, MyMiniFactory, Instagram and Facebook. We get a ton of them daily and that's why sometimes it takes us a while to respond to some of them. Be sure we take all comments from our Patrons very seriously and we always greatly appreciate your support. Please, just be a little patiente with us, we are trying to do our best!

Artisan Guild

It's actually pretty disappointing how lacking AG is being with responding to these comments/questions from their Patreon members. I don't think I'm anyone special, and I know I get beautiful models every month with my subscription, but at least some form of acknowledgement to our comments would be nice.

Kristofer

Getting close to time for the big June reveal... Can't wait!!

Jason Davenport

I put my vote with Ernest Yee. Please repost this video I would like to see it. I could not make the livestream.

Redneck Mike

The lack of response to questions and comments is astounding

67Steg

Yeah this should be reposted as a video on the Patreon's only section of AG.

Ernest Yee

I totally agree with you.

MS

Disappointing.

Norb Janzen

I tried searching for it and the only reference I can find is on CraftWorlds patreon. Pretty poor collaboration if we cannot see the video being a Patron of AG. I am interested to see the proces and end result, but don’t want to pay another patreon just to see the video.

Chris Johnson

I couldn't seem to find where they were doing this, do you need to be one of their patrons for this? Didn't see anything about it on their basic patreon page or their facebook page.

Bill Curran

Will the live stream be recorded/available after the event?

Balandar

Where can I download the miniature? And where can I see the live? Links to the post force me to be patrons of Crafworld Sudio

Adeya Minari

This is great, I’ve been curious about their video tutorials ever since they did the PDF tutorial

Bill Curran

Do we need to be a patron of CraftWorldStudioArt to watch the live stream, or is this open to current Artisan Guild members as part of the collaboration?

Jonathan Kressin

I've got it primed and ready!

LP Wilson

i need to see this

Nicolas Astete

Perfect. I’ve been hoping someone would post a picture, but video even better. I’ve been visually going over it in my head…
