Quick Update and Wip Video

Hello guys!
How's your week going?
We thought it would be nice if sometime we just start recording some sculpting progress, we really hope to remember doing this more often in future!
We started working in the next release at the end of the last month.

The featured race are the Gurunda: amphibian creatures from the swamps, sort of anthropomorphic frog-salamanders. They come in various sizes, from the quick and small Gurunda  to the huge Bull-Gurunda, the one appearing in this video.
As always we are working on models to populate our universe and bases to the lore we written during the last years, but these creatures will be also useful outside of our games as any kind of frog/toad monsters, from badass Grung, to Boggard and even demonic Slaads.
Finally, they will have a huge toweking King on a flying stone rock, able to cast the most terrible spells; we hope that also wargames hobbyst will enjoy these models quiete alot!

This sculpting session has been done (as always) in Zbrush, using very basical brushes.
Andrea doesn't like to use alphas and textures, so everything from scratches to organic irregularities on the shells has been hand sculpted.
If you are a Zbrush user, here the brushes used:
Clay Buildup (to build masses); Dam Standard (to carve and cut); Move Brush (to move stuff around), H Polish and Trim Dynamic (to flatten surfaces).
CurveQuadFill is used to create 3d planes from a lazo.

In this quick update we want to share with you a picture received by our friends at MMF.
They are going as fast as they can, and they just sent the patrons of Jan '21 the Frostmetal Bundle. In the pictures, the month with a Bundle name are the ones who had been sent, the months without name are still not implemented in your library.
At the same time, supports files are being made for the next updated set, the Deepwood Alfar.

Thanks for your patience guys! We hope you are enjoying the undead skeletons of this month :)
Cheers!

Nice! I use the Sladdi a lot in my campaign setting so these guys will move perfectly into that role!

Jacob Guerra

as stated in the last presupported set post, we publish Deepwood Alfar supports update between today and tomorrow (waiting for MMF to distribute through lists), next will be the rest of the legacy sets, including Demons. After that we do Epic Bosses and Amazons ^^

Artisan Guild

I think they will support the files from the Amazons kickstarter, but only after everything else, including epic bosses, have been supported, so it might be a while. The demons should be next, after the Deepwood Alfar are done.

Onychophora

I think they've said before they won't support the Amazons kickstarter, this might have changed it's been a while. The Demons set is a kinda weird one. It has already been supported, infact it was the first month to be done, but that month AG trialed a higher tier patreon pledge for supported models before making that tier free to everyone the month after. So basically people paid extra for the supported demons, making it unlikely we'll be getting them for free now...

Matt

Unrelated because i dont see where to post s comment, but are we getting an Amazon / Demon supported set any time soon?

Michael Bradley

You are masters of your craft

DungeonMaster Martin

I’m new to the Patreon. Should I be expecting something from MMF?

The Frayed Brush

Hello Frank! We have some spiders made during the Kickstarter AMAZONS! They have no supports for now but if you are in rush you can find those in our mmf shop

Artisan Guild

Please show us more with some explaination. As a Zbrush starter Its very interesting to see what techniques you use.

kevikev

You make it look so easy. Looks fantastic

Ben Newman

This is really cool! Can’t wait to see some slaad!

Bill Curran

Really digging the progress on these guys! Look great!! On a wholey seperate thing aannyy chance you guys could do up a spider or two in one of the next sets? If not that's a ok guys keep up amazing work

Frank Quinn

Ahah :) we used this for the first Ogre Wip and decided to keep it for any long sculpting video

Artisan Guild

Which ones are you missing? I've received a link for the december 2019 pack, and just today got March of 2020. Not sure where January + February of 2020 are at though. Thought they were going in order

Joshua Hiebert

I felt like I became Monke 🦍 after hearing the music till the end. Awesome work!!!!

BaseSteve

have anyone actually heard back from myminifactory about the missing rewards? So far they haven't even sendt an automated reply to my inquiry to info@myminifactory.com :(

Morten Haggren

Perfect, thankyou very much, I will resub early next month then. Love all your sculpts, and hopefully we'll see some tortle warriors one day.

jack thompson

From what MMF sent us, they still have not sent the Dragonguard, thats why :) they told me they are delivering a new set every week, I'll talk with them on monday to see where they are at now

Artisan Guild

No need to pay again :) you will appear in all 3 month lists once you sub again next month. Try to do that before day 10,as we need to send the lists to MMF

Artisan Guild

I managed to accidentally cancel my subscription to you guys but my last payment went out on Feb 4th. Do I need to resub now and pay the month again to get these guys and keep in the running for the 3 month loyalty releases or do I wait till next month?

jack thompson

These videos are always a neat glimpse into the creative process. Keep up the great work! I am VERY excited for this set :)

Lioneil Dodaro

Wow. Just wow. Talented artists can do so much with basic 3D tools and brushes.

Richard Gallerno

What do we do if we haven’t received an email with the Dragonguard yet?

Zac Erickson

That is pretty incredible to watch... so far exceeds any skill I could ever hope to attain.

MrE

Beutiful as always. I have a question: Can You Imagine make time to time some bust as in welcome box?

Michaelovic

Man, you're still going uphill in terms of hype for me, every month looks better and better!

J-Zarno .

It's awesome to see you guys work! Please make more of these!

Orin Bailey

I never get enough from the sculpting videos. More of those, please!

Renier Banninga

Hopefully we'll get some extensible toad tongue action.

CURTIS CRADDOCK

I love seeing how you do this! I’ve printed the entire old berg set can’t wait to start painting them! The look great!

Eric Lee

Wonderful! Thank you for sharing your workflow. It is both inspiring and humbling to see how you bring your vision to life.

Robb

The best part is that I now have an excellent resin printer to reproduce these exquisitely detailed sculptures. I don't think it's fair to call them 'miniatures' anymore...

Thomas

That sculpting to you artists is probably Childs play. To me it is practically magic. And thanks for the MMF it explains a lot.

Mark Fadden

I love these videos, not only are they exciting because of the spoiler of what is coming, but those of us who are lovers of 3D design learn how the greats work. Thank you!

Carlos Fuster de Aguilar

love watching you work. looking forward to seeing more, Feel free to offer any zbrush advice while you're at it.

Eric Obara

we did our first one with the Ashen Alfar set, the Soul Harvester altar :) If we come up with some idea (and we have time during the month) why not. Back then we had not the 3 cavalry unit however ^^

Artisan Guild

Love the wip video! I'm a 3d student so this is very helpfull. 😊

Zena

Nice work, I really like the wip of the model. I like the removal of the pool for the release becouse it was a lil bit frustrating sometimes. Now you do what you like and have inspiration for and it's ok for me becouse you make beautiful models everytime. May I ask if you'll add warmachines in your future release (normal one or on monsters)? Honestly to make a full army only them are left.

Lind

Yes, Cant wait to see the battle toads finished

cuthberttAllgood

cant wait to paint these !

Lorne Bixby

Absolutely stunning! I'm very excited for the next set. Thank you for posting these sculpting videos. They are very inspiring and informative!

Mitchell Anderson

Amazing!! Great work!
