Did we stop doing polls? If so, can we get a suggestion thread of some kind? I'd love a set of tieflings (that are pretty under represented) but with a Persian feel to them. So like Hashashin, bedouin, Mameluks, Persian Immortals, etc.

Problem is, a lot of us are dropping in in different times. Once you see Artisan Guild's models, you want to replace your current ones for AG's. I wasn't a backer last time Elves where made, so yeah, i'm quite happy with these Elves, since it's a big multi purpose race (didn't vote on them tho, because i need Bugbears more). AG is still growing I suppose, so all new Patreons wants to start building their collection up from the ground, and yes, Humans, Dwarves and Elves are probarbly in everyones core set. Unfortunatelly, the problem can't be solved, until AG stops growing wildly haha. Meanwhile we just have to hope for the best. Personally I don't care what they make, because they blew my mind with the Rakashin and eye-cult gryphkin set. So whatever it is, it will be beautifull

There are about a million different elves and goblins floating around in some shape or form. Time to ditch polling elves and goblins and let the vote run dry then start a new one (so we can actually see them all not the same thing over and over again). Some of us are just hanging around to see how you do with the Frostmetal Clan (seriously just check all the other polls out in responses). I have had it with Elves, I have like 200+ elf models, I have like 4 deathguard/antipaladins models. I have dropped 4 other patreons so far due to nothing but elves and goblins oh and lets not forget the 8 jillion dwarf models out there. I am looking for new stuff, not the same rehashed stuff. So please by all means do something new. I am but one patreon but it seems I am not the only one tired of elves, dwarves and goblins. Look at what you have released so far, TONs of elves and dwarves and goblins. Shouldnt that be a clue you may be doing to much of the same stuff over and over again?

I’ve largely stopped commenting in the polls, as it seems counterproductive and unnecessarily negative. Just wanted to say the Bearclan Greatgobs are a great idea, Maybe the Legion Greatgobs are less versatile? Perhaps Legion Hobgoblins and Bearclan Irregulars so the bugbears can stay true to their more savage nature? Just a constructive suggestion. You guys are wonderful, and probably deserve a month off for all the work you do!

Haha, could make a whole theme of it. Just call the first 3-month cycle of 2021 the Season of Anarchy. Let orcs, goblins, and ogres reign supreme with no voting; your organized voting system has been taken over by wild tribes, hobgoblin legions, and whatever other crazy things AG can come up with! Our next votes (for the second cycle) can be for the theme of the forces brought in to quell the craziness.

I feel like the Frostmetal Orcs and Legion Greatgoblins should be cycled out for other new ideas. Maybe bring them back into the polls down the line. Kind of a bummer that they've been up for so long in favor of the new sets.

The best solution that i've heard till now, for the pool problem is that patreons choose the order release and not the release itself. During these 3 months release, a pool with 9 options could be made to choose the next 3 release, then 6 and the last 3. In my opinion, in this way, all patreons get what they want during the year and the work is scheduled.

I don't know if you will even see this with so many comments, but I saw a good point made in the thread and wanted to expand on it. Some of the ideas that keep loosing in the monthly vote may just need a small push. I expect that you are presenting ideas that the artists are excited about but your audience may need more than just a single rough sketch (and one that can not be enlarged in the mobile app) to picture the concepts you are collaborating on. So perhaps you could add a new sketch with each passing month. When we vote, a concept that has been out three months will have sketches, as opposed to the new idea that has only one.

This I think comes down to what i would call a hoard/alliance situation. Most people want either monsters or heroes. Why not just give us a month by month choice between. Chaotic or Order races? I think keeping the poll secret would be more realistic of what people want. Allot of the comments suggest most orc and goblin voters would rather vote for elves if they dont want halflings and visa versa.

These responses to the polls always crack me up, I have never seen some many people complain month after month. Are we all not here because we love the artist work. I vote for what I would like every month whether it is going to win or not. It gives the artist an accurate look at what people want. And I really can care less if what I voted for wins. I know what ever the next month is will be awesome. Personally at this point I would prefer AG to sculpt what they want without our input, this constant negativity and whining can not be good on their creative inspiration.

Lame and unusable are subjective. For me all this stuff is usable in many games, just have to craft a story or encounter around it. For miniature agnostic games literally anything can be used, I would love to have a Frostgrave team that is all Gnomes, or to pop a little Halfling Man-at-Arms into my Rangers of Shadow Deep stable. Sylvan Knights are the group I'm least excited about, but I'll find someway to justify printing them. If you require models that match your needs perfectly instead of modifying your perspective to fit in anything that is created Patreon probably isn't the best source of minis for you.

Release 8 was goblins, 9 and 15 were alfar 13 were Oni (w/ogres) but I've yet to see Halflings and Gnomes - so I'd much prefer something original than a different themed rerun. Also I need a breather from horns and spikes. :)

I was super happy with the Scorpion because it's on my to-do list for Rangers of Shadow Deep. In general I think all the iconic DnD monsters are readily available from multiple artists. The odd monster that fills a slot I've been having trouble tracking down is so satisfying.

In my opinion, this is an inherent problem with the form of the polls, not the content itself. Since people can already see what's winning before they vote, they feel like their vote doesn't make a difference and click on the most popular option at the moment of their voting. A couple of ways to solve this: 1. As mentioned above, allowing voting for multiple things will reduce pressure on the individual voter. For instance, I want some hobgoblins/bugbears, but I like the Fey knights as well. But I only have one vote, what do I do? 2. Having an "opaque" voting system - i.e. not seeing the results until after the vote has been cast or having vote results revealed at the end of the voting period - will bring this more in-line with "real-world" democracies and, again, reduce the number of people complaining in the comment section (myself included). Cheers!

I'm not sure how to "remedy" the polling system, the suggestion to not add a new, shiny option next poll sounds good to me. It feels weird because Orcs >> Elves > Bugbears >> Gnomes for me personally, but I can't reeeally vote for Orcs since they won't win, which means I have to vote for the Elves so I don't end up with my least favorite option and unsub for the month, missing out of the "boss mini". I'm not complaining or anything, super happy with all the sets, AG does great work, I just want to throw my feelings out there incase anyone else feels similarly.

I personally would not be disappointed by anything AG puts out. All of their work has been fantastic and I'm confident their future stuff will be solid too. There is so much negative in the world. I'm sure AG don't need to hear every month from all the people who have hurt feelings because the overall crowd didn't vote the way you wanted them to. If you are unhappy with their work then don't bash on AG, just quietly unsub or offer up an alternative way to get what you would like. There is a strong difference between constructive criticism and shoving your feelings in someone's face

Absolutely agree with this! I'm usually pretty contented with the choices each month, but it's gotta be really discouraging to want your faction to win month after month but see it get no support. There should be something like this to give those a better chance, the people always wanting the newest, shiniest thing can be the ones to survive a month of mild disappointment for once :p

If the folks at AG are listening to the comments, I just had an idea for the diehard Orc/Bugbear voters. It seems like the group pretty much votes for the new and shiny options, which, good on all of you for doing so. But month after month, it seems a little depressing to see the option you want to vote for be absolutely trounced by the new entry. Here's what I'm suggesting that might make the polls more competitive: for the poll in December, don't add a new faction, instead, take whichever of the gnomes and elves don't win, and make it a race between the three? Or, separately, take the lowest polling from three months worth of voting, and put them in a poll together? I don't know how to really sort this out, but it seems like there are some dedicated people who want to eventually see the orcs and the bugbears, and you all must want to make them at some point as well, especially if you keep putting them up there. Either way, keep on cranking out these awesome prints. I love your style and approach to everything you touch. Keep on rocking, AG!

It really doesn’t matter. We the patrons have expressed ourselves since the beginning to make it a running poll, 1st vote gets next month, 2nd gets the following month and so on. But they just don’t think it’s fair to new patrons who don’t get to vote BUT at this point they aren’t growing by the thousands anymore.. probably any where from 50 to 100 a month. So the 7k people should see some form of expectations for the following months PLUS it would let AG know what’s coming next and so on. This would let them work ahead of schedule to where if they wanted to work hard and finish two or three months in a row then they could take off an entire month knowing those models are done. It’s what us sub contractors do when we know we want time off, we schedule jobs ahead to allow the appropriate allotted jobs so we can get that time off. PLUS AG knows they want to make all the particular models because it’s their ideas they are giving us choices on not like other patreons that have a list of like 10 things and top one the sculpt. So why not make it a running poll and sculpt away, knowing you know what’s next. Just my 2 cents and would make your life easier 😉

Who can we talk to about getting ranked choice/instant runoff voting for these polls? I assume we'd have to put in a feature request to Patreon? Because this practice of voting for one option I don't want, but I will settle for, in order to stop another option I -really- don't want is stupid, frustrating, and I'm not going to be doing it for much longer on this particular patreon. Or short of that, add my voice to those that are calling for ordered releases rather than making people wait forever for their real choice.

I agree, people have no problem finding races like Elves, Orcs, and Goblins everywhere. I'm all for races that have less choices to work with. Also interested in RPGs that don't have much miniature support. Maybe one thing they could do is modern weapon swaps, so people could use miniatures in something like D&D Modern or Shadowrun.

Let me tell you about one of my main D&D PCs. Victor Hobbitino, leader of the Hobbitino Family. Think Halfling Godfather. I'm normally straight rogue. Other members of the family have a few levels of rogue and the whatever the group needs, cleric, wizard, or whatever. The first items I try to find for him are Goggles of the night (how good can a thief be if he can't see in the dark), Studded Leather with glamour. He likes make the armor look like a pin striped suit (he's a businessman after all). I picture him going into combat with a rapier and hand crossbow, but at his feet is a open violin case with a collapsible repeating crossbow. He also has a riding dog names Bentley.

Thank you for all the great work, but I wish there were fewer poll options. I wish we had two options to vote for monthly instead of three and now four. If one option were to win this month with 37% of the votes you'd be disregarding the opinion of 63% of your backers. Seems a little unbalanced to me and it's really making it difficult for the Frost Metal Orcs or the Bugbears to be made.

Wow. We’ve had so many elf sets this year, we’re officially into ideas that don’t even make sense. Dexterous wood elves wearing heavy armor? sure for a one-off hero, but a whole set, nah. Hello, while I know that a lot of the conversation is going to be focused on what the full set is, I wanted to make a comment about he Epic Beast that comes with the sets... In my opinion, the best ones are one that are an iconic d&d monster (I realize not everyone playes d&d) like the Umber Hulk and the Beholder. Those were enough to make that month awesome. When there are beasts like a huge scorpion, they are cool, but not as playable. So my suggestion would be to look at stuff like a Treant, Kraken, displacer beast, chimera, manticore, griffon, and so on. Hopefully others agree. That way even if you do get a month that doesn't really excite you, at least you will be getting that iconic monster to use in the game. Just my two cents. :)

The swashbucklers sound great. Just a thought, if they win dogs as mounts - but not typical dogs but basset hounds instead. They have a great sense of whimsy to them which fits perfectly with the description, they too are low to the ground, and I have a basset and can never find 3d models for when I've wanted to have one like him for a character.

Legion bugbears is an interesting twist.
