Hello dear Merchants and Adventurers!
As always, we spend the first four days of each month to vote for the following release, in this case, coming in October.
The Kobolds you voted for will be live on the 3rd of this month of course.
If you have pledged during the last month (based on Patreon timezone) but you hadn't the time to download the Set, please send us a private message here on Patreon, we will sort it out!
So let's have a quick description of the possible themes we will develop for October:
As we develop the themes we possibly make some changes.
- Frostmetal Clan
(proxies: Heavy Ogre & Orcs, DeathKnights, Blackguards and Evil Champions)
The old Ironskin Ogre option spiced up a bit. These elite heavy armored Ogre (and Orcs) from the frozen north are bound to an ancient oath that makes them immortals, and are capable unleash unholy powers, damning the souls of their opponents.
Heavy metal armor, chains, some fur cloaks, runes, and damnation effect will be some key design of this set. - Bear-Tribe Great Goblins
(proxies: Bugbears mostly, in the pack there will be probably few Goblins too)
Great Goblins are the biggest mountain goblinoids in our universe, towering creatures disciplined enough to have a strict military society and assemble little armies. Most of their equipment and armors will be scavanged from human resources, such horse metal armor here and there, peasant cloths, weapons made from old tools, shield from doors and so on. We like the idea of having some roman-inspired armors here and there. - Rakshasa Headhunters & Master Djinn (temp name)
(proxies: cat-folk, tiger-folk, Rakshasa, few sculpts usable as Djinni, Efreeti)
What are doing these extraplanar beings in our realm? Powerful Djinn from another plane are commanding a unit of Rakshasa headhunters to track down a mysterious target. This set will contain a set of Rakshasa (feline headed humanoids) and few of their masters Djinn, resembling a mix between Efreeti and Genies. At this stage we are not sure in wich proportion the two races will mix, but probably we will have at least 1 heroic and 2 modular Djinn, the rest all feline-folk.
This is what each set is usually composed:
- 6 Modular Miniatures with Swappable Weapons, for infinite combinations!
- Standalone Weapons for Loot, customization and our Weapon Racks!
- 2 "Over-the-Top" Hero Miniatures.
- 1 Mounted version of a Hero.
- The Riderless Mount as Epic Beast.
- 1 Fantasy Pinup, suitable as Miniature or display collectable.
- A Scatter Terrain themed on the release.
- A Sculpted Base for each Miniature.

I get what that image you posted is showing, but I think it's just misinterpreting what the book meant by "palms are where the backs of the hands would be"; the art clearly shows that the hands are just the other way around.

There are different types of Rakshasas that have different types of heads (sometimes 2 heads when very powerful) and I would love to see that reflected! Some dino mounts would be dope for this set too.

I didn't really care overly for either of the choices the last two votes (as long as it wasn't Frostmetal) but this time around Im so so keen for the Rakshasa Djinns. But I just feel terrible for the Bugbear fans. Unless Im blown away next poll by the new shiny, I can't think of any race they could do that would get me excited. Its not gonna mean much now, with 5hrs left and double the votes for the catgenies, but Im flipping my vote to Bearclan. Maybe even till they get up.

Would mean that eventually everything gets made and it might help people to know with limited financial resources know when the set they want will come out. Would also help the artist by having a 4 month plan which would allow them more time to work on the sets. As for patron retention, they already have the loyalty reward bosses, but could possibly add Patreon exclusives to the loyalty reward boss reward that relate to the sets from that 4 month period but not necessarily the boss.

As it is, they are just sitting in the poll, clogging it up, as it were. I only suggest do each of them in turn in circumstances like these were there is a definite desire for them and they have been an option for so long. That being said, I understand your point.

Not trying to take away the pinups. They have a place and are important to many. But the bird lady would have been great for my purposes if the SFW version had a bit more clothes.

In fact I was only intending to get the Oni, as I was working on a project and they were perfect, I keep seeing the amazing sculpts and wanting the next set. Thanks for the info, just a bit confused as to how the whole month thing works. I have a use for the Kobolds so want them but have scourge, birds and ashen that I will probably never even print let alone use, and with the cats looking to win this month that would be another set never to see the table :( I am thinking buying the STLs I want may be a better option for me. Get less for my money but if Im not printing and using them there's not really much benefit.

2020-09-01 13:43:02 +0000 UTCSucks when you are paying and don't get what you want, but Patreon isn't a market place, It's a way to support creators, and they give supporters a reward if they choose too. That being said, I fully understand the frustration. I have wanted certain models, and it took way longer to see them happen then I was happy with. I didn't drop my support because I could still afford it, and I still ended up liking the models I got, but that was my choice. If you want to drop support and still get Kobolds, might I suggest waiting till the end of the month? You have to pay for the month of September to get this release, which should happen soon if it hasn't already, then just drop support after you download the kit. I say wait till the end of the month so you can catch any fixes or updates that happen.

I wanted the Oni and then the Frost metal and bear clan looked good so I stuck around. How does it work if I leave. If I unsubscribe now will I still get the Kobolds? 2020-09-01 12:02:17 +0000 UTCi still think that the artists should choose 3 to 5 sets they want to make in the future, and allow us to choose the order they get made in. make all of them, then make a new set of choices. it would give every voter the ones they wanted and let you guys get an early jump on next months models since you know what they are. you have never let us down with any release yet. i didnt want gryphkins at all, i thought they were dumb, but the models are awesome and im glad i have them.

2020-09-01 11:34:17 +0000 UTCI know people want to use the Raksasha for cat folk and all but I do really hope that the modular options are made to look right when the hands are put on backwards as this is one of the unique traits about them. I love this option and it has my vote. You can find orcs, bugbear, and most goblinoid figures anywhere but I personally have not found a good Raksasha anywhere.

First their is always new choices every month that is what a poll is about I didn't want kobolds or bugbears or ogres for that matter so last month sucked this month however we have a cool choice so as a member of the silent majority that didn't enter some crazy pact let go Rakshasa's and djinn. Thank you AG for giving us a great choice this month.

From what I saw, WotC basically has 3 groups of characters/races/etc.: those that have existed before or outside of WotC existence, those that WotC made up a name for but otherwise existed in a known form, and those that WotC actually created name and form. The only ones you need WotC permission for is that last group, because they trademarked the form. The name one, just come up with a different name for and say "like ..." Rakshasa are not in that last group. I don't remember if they're in the 2nd group (name trademark), but IIRC, Rakshasa is from the Hindu religion, not WotC.

They've been there since May. Once they are done... going back to picking what grabs my interest. (calm down those who are going "oh no, you added a new option" every month there's a new option. That's how it works) Question on Rakshasa: will they actually have the inverted palms? So many Kickstarters and model makers have said "can't, WotC would yell at us" but nobody has done it and nothing from WotC says that it's one of their trademarked designs, which means you shouldn't get in trouble for it. Waiting for the maker who is willing to actually do it.
