Gryphkin Progress and Game

Hello Adventurers!
We had been really busy with these feathered creatures the last days, they are really among the hardest design to make among the ones we did till now.

We are finally pretty satisfied with the look of the first one, and we finally found the courage to split the first wings for the modular system.

We are going to testprint this soon to check if we can go with this triangular joint for the modular models that came with wings. This will give you more options and make the model easier to print.
Wings, upside down, should be pretty straighforward in the print, with the featuers going up.

As we mentioned, the birdfolk for august will have different designs as always, with spellcasters, thieves, archers and so on.

Game little new

We are also, at the same time, polishing the very alpha of our Miniatures Game, codename "GUILDS", for a Patrons only openbeta. We have not an official timeline on this as we are focusing on the models of course.
Without going into details, GUILDS, wich features both quick skirmishes and campaigns with quests and progression, will be free in it's digital material of course. Model Cards and PDF rules will be accessible to every patrons, and the model used are basically every release we made.
As we mentioned, you really did too much for us with your amazing supports and we don't need to make any kind of crowdfunding for GUILD project, the models are already funded afterall!
We started writing GUILDS in 2015, it was meant to be a funny personal project, but we decided to start making the graphic material you need to play it too.
Let's keep it fun and evolve it as we make new sculpts, our main goal is still to make amazing models for your 3d printers that are compatible with most games possible.

Temporary model card for Alvar. Graphic, Layout, Icons, and even text abilities (and grammar) are ALL placeholder. But things need to start somewhere, right?

We hope you like the Gryphkin Modular A, first model we made for the next release!
We are correcting few things in the presupported Ashen Alfar release, we will make an update on its post once we are done. Thank you!

I like most of the pinup models as they are, probably half the reason I subbed. Would love to see the whole Presupported Pinup Collection up for sale.

TreasureGoblins

I think it's the idealized female form. I am glad they are the way they are. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Ken O'Guinn

Not sure why all your models of female characters have to have such wide hips??? really ? Your measurements are like 33-24-55. not the ideal female form, especially for a bird character???

David Croft

The monster HAS to be a giant owlbear, surely!

DnDice

The Owl and the Raven are very cool. I like the archer, curious to see what the terrain and the monster will be.

Glitterwolf

Same here...love the owl mage concept and it's looking awesome!

Rob Leonard

Owl mage looks awesome

Dwayne Spencer

Love the owl mage! Reminds me of the Rats of Nymn.

Frank Dunbar

Wasn’t on team Gryphkin until I saw the last couple pics. Owl mage? Hell yeah

CryHavyk

Id like to be able to magnetize wings and no wings

Patrick Krog

Will they come with wings and a "plug" for non-winged version? Or will it be Wings and then a version with no slot?

Patrick Krog

The way you are doing the mod wings is brilliant! Great job. Beautiful sculpts!

Michael Green

The modular wings joint is clever. Liking the look of these models.

Richard Gallerno

Looking fabulous!

Ceris

Or a presup of each. Personally, I much more like the idea of thew wings being modular

Ben Z

WOW. I didn't really want these guys at all....didn't vote for them.... but man, I was mistaken! These things are looking great!

Henry Googe

Can we have the presupported models with the wings already on?? Winged modells looks better is wings already on and printed in whole. :)

Tamás Somogyi

I agree. My rpg has birdfolk too. Here's hoping AG does catfolk next... Seriously, try searching my mini factory for "catfolk" or "tabaxi". You get a handful of models that don't look great, and like five super overpriced ones.

Zachary Rucker

2 crow/raven folk will be part of the 6 modular :). Then for heroes there will be some more varieties

Artisan Guild

OOOH, That looks awesome!

Sam T.

They look AWESOME!

DoctorDiscord

Really liking the first gryphkin. And I like what you did with the triangular wing joint...much better IMO than separate wings...less lines/gaps to deal with. Really excited to see the rest of the set! :)

Rob Leonard

Are they all going to be Eagle/Hawk looking, or will we see some Raven, crow, etc types as well?

Tim

I think they're great!

3D Guy

I really hope there's a monk style one, for my aarakocra monk.

Lilmouse

So excited, I want to make a necro gryph so badly

Kristoff

without a doubt one of the coolest sets to date, right next to the Jurakin

Masterwork Miniatures

Impressive!, Most Impressive! These weren't my first choice, but I humbly bow to the masters, beautiful first model!

D (Rob)ert Pemberton

This is why I never really care too much about the poll results. I didn't vote for these, but I know that whatever the poll result, I'm going to end up with some gorgeous models. Love this!

Samuel van der Spek

OMG this is what I wanted!. Im gonna love this month's releasee

Adler D. Mario

Oh man, I love these. I don't have anything like them on my shelf.

John Sheffield

They will always look cool whatever "they" are because you sculpt great looking stuff, and at least these kind of figures haven't been done to death...

Don Knotts

looks inspiring, now to create stories and ways to introduce them in my games.

Sergio Andre Gentil

I was a little bit disappointed when I saw that Gryphkin won, because I thought it would't be a theme that I like. But seeing the previews changed my mind - love them! They look great and I'm looking forward to see the other models!! 😃😍

Maria zur Nedden

Ugh still not sure if i want these or not :( they are cool looking but not something i really need *sigh

Nicholas Brennan

these are so cool!

Matthew Harris

on other models for sure :) everyone will be a bit different

Artisan Guild

They look very reptilian, could do with more plumage on their bodies perhaps?

Limi

Those are looking great, can't wait!

Jeff A

Yes! I hope we have some that are in flying poses! So hype!

I’m with you. I think it’s the bottom jaw. It makes them look more lizard than bird.

Julio Ibarra

as amazing as I had hoped they would be, and then some! <3 really happy they're coming out!

Joey D

It's pretty early, but we will launch a patrons beta soon :) A monthly release (like in the render) is a perfect example of battle size, HOWEVER, guild recruiting is based on points... so you can play with less or more models. It uses both heroes and modulars

Artisan Guild

Birb people :0

Milo_Jones

At first when I saw the Gryphkin, I was like: well how cool can bird folk be? But one second later another thought came to my mind: it's Artisan Guild!! They will make them amazing no matter what, and clicked to vote for it. Now I am here to say that you just brought something awesomely amazing!!! Your art has a soul of it's own! You rock!

Alvaro Pietrobon Neto

I love the look! One critique though? They look too dragon like with that type of beak and feathered head.

Mark H.

I only collect and paint, don't play games. I love your minis and the Gryphkin looks great, very promising! Some ideas for future sets? -Werewolves/Lycanthropes -Frogmen -Insectmen -Evil cultists ( sacrificial altar etc) -Elephant/Rhino/Hippo Men. -Fairies /Pixies/Brownies with a Giant

Glitterwolf

Super excited for this release!

Sdspecter

I really like the idea of a game growing up around your sculpts and the world you are building. I would really like to get involved and help you build this out. I love the asthetic your developing and the models you create. I have a background in game design and as a pro gamer for tabletop games. Been at a very long time. I'm also a professional project manager with a lot of experience guiding creative teams. If you're interested I would love to have an offline discussion on how I could help. Both with your vision for the game and helping build a roadmap to get it done.

Richard Vaughan

So cool! I love painting feathers and can't wait to print some of these!

Nice. These look like they could be used as dragonborn as well with the right paint job.

Brent Kutz

They look awesome, there's not nearly enough printable material online for bird folk. Especially considering 5e has two bird races.

Corwin Dentry

Fantastic!!!

Sam Kay

This is awesome, I look forward to play testing this!!!

Ron Purvis

The gryphkin is an interesting model... Can't wait to see the monster and the terrain... A Griffin and its nest ?

Benoit Michaux

I'm really hyped about your game. I backed the Bloodfields Kickstarter and just got some files and cards and that provided a lot of fun, but I think there is enough room for two such systems to coexist. Also, from my perspective, your approach is the future of tabletop games: regular releases of new armies and content where you just pick what you like. Maybe you can give us some more information about the gameplay or style you are aiming at? Skirmish battles with just 3-4 minis on each side, or larger battles? What is the base system look like, maybe you can give us some early idea about the mechanics you want to use?

Christian Geißler

So happy these can be both winged and wingless. Can't wait to see the owl! This piece is a great start!

Taylor Wheaton

That Gryphkin looks awesome! The rules look interesting.

Abdul Rahman Khan

yep that's exactly the plan :) thank you!

Artisan Guild

They look great! Always a pleasure to see your process.

V Verdouw-Olges

Good design choice making the wings fit as one piece

Nick Bowker

Yup you got me too xD wasn't not much keen on birdfolk but this looks assume. Time to slowly stear my D&D into some situation that allows me to use these next month :)

Domingos Szabo

Oh I am so hyped for these, been voting for them for months, so happy to see them finally happen

Nice card: some feedback: include the size of the miniature in the card use icons for everything (Made the translation process a Lot easy) for example the words (passive) (roll) (atk) (Def) can be icons

Fernando Campos

If it works yes, nothing forced :) These works perfectly however with the next Epic Boss, the Fallen Angel lady

Artisan Guild

yes, there will be a bunch of different wings

Artisan Guild

OMG!!! So awesome! Even better than I expected. Thanks to all who voted with me for these!!!! I think we need Kobolds next, the generic enemy. Bet they'll look amazing too, then I'll be ready for some goblins!!! Awesome awesome awesome! August can come soon enough.

James Nelson

Absolutely love your spin on bird folk.

Bee Four

What about the epic boss influence? Is still working??

Bernat Rovira Lastra

I agree JT whenever I don’t get my first choice it’s always epic anyway.

BoldNotBald

Will there be multiple wing parts we can mix and match with the other modular models?

A_G_S

Okay at first i wasnt as hype for these gryphkins, but this is gonna turn out sick like the Jurakins!
