Renders and Descriptions of the Characters
6 Oni Clan members: Kyogin and Grunts (modular)
The Oni Clan, headed now by Yoshigruzu, is an orcish clan of great wisdom and honor. The time of a corrupted clan are long gone since Yoshi took the lead by slaying the old evil chief. This band of rogues of the good hearth is composed by the huge Kyogin and Oni variants of Ogre and Orcs who's blood had been mixed with the one of the Demons long time ago.

Yoshigruzu, the Clan Leader (modular)
Brave and proud, Yoshigruzu is a half orc and half ogre born with the predisposition and determination to be a great leader.
Yakazuma, the diabolical old leader of the Oni Clan, used to jump from villate to village to recruit the youngest warriors leaving behind him a trail of smoking buildings and devastation..
Yoshigruzu was one of them, snatched from his family at an early age. During decades he trained and raised an opposition, finally challenging his master and defeating him, purging the clan from the tyrant. The time of slavery and perfidy in these lands was now over. Oni Clan become honorable. Yoshigruzu's great sword is called Demo-breaker in honor of his undertaking.

Goraku the Ogre Magi (modular)
Goraku is the most talented spellcaster of the whole Oni Clan. His origins are shrouded in mistery, but it is said that he has been created by Yakazuma by fusing two ogre.
Goraku has been his councilor for decades, but he worked with Yoshigruzu to slowly raise an opposition and finally destroy the tyrant. Goraku has effectively two personalities, and both his heads are capable of performing different tasks at the same time... like smashing with his giant mace and casting a spell at the same time.

Tsuki - Oni Clan Beauty (Fantasy Pinup)
Before being torn away from her family to be enslaved and sold to Yakazuma, Tsuki was a young artist with the love for nature, music and dance.
She has been raised to be the storyteller of the Oni Clan, keeper of secrets and legends.

Warugo the Oni Beast (and Yoshigruzu mounted version)
It is said that the eastern lands were inhabited by an ancient spirit of hatred transformed into a beast by the wickedness of the living: Warugo, the Oni Beast. Its sole purpose of the beast was to free the forest from the evil miners of the Clan. After the cleansing of the Oni Clan by Yoshigruzu, Warugo became a powerful ally of the now redeemed group, assisting with fang and claws during the greatest battle against the demons.

Oni Lamp
The Oni Clan believes in the reincarnation. Goraku and other Magi pray at the Oni Lamp anytime one of their proud comrades loses his life. It is said that this shrine plays an important role to purify the souls of those orcs and ogres who's blood had been mixed with the one of the demons.

- Scale As always the release scale is 32mm (for the avarage human), and our Oni are generally bigger, expecially Kyogins (Ogre). People who play at 28mm scale usually scale down our models to 90%, but being these new creatures we encourage you to test them at full size. 32mm It's becoming pretty common and it gives better result on 3d print!
- Modular Models Our regular models and heroes are balljointed wrist miniatures with various weapon options, perfect to create your custom hero, your Wargame warband/army or your perfect rpg encounter. You can mix most of the parts with our previous releases! As always we prefer to give you each month the tools to make your perfect models, no need to make clones and clones with the only difference being a weapon, expecially because you'll support less bodies but have more variety.

I just bought the file in MyMiniFactory, for some reason it was downloaded as a .rar

I loved the ONI, I suscribed in May because I wanted the Jurakin as well, but I wanted the ONI bad, I have a little project with Oni samurai and yokai. To me they look great.

I'm sorry, these are our really first terrains ever, we never did that in the last years except from the Deepwood Alfar Set. We will improve on those :)
Thanks for your feedback!
About Yoshi's pose, it's probably the opposite, in fact Yoshigruzu sculpt had been done much earlier than the goblin set :) He was supposed to be an Epic Boss at the beginning. Thanks for this feedback too, honestly we didn't notice. I guess that every 200 models we probably accidentally sculpt an additional pose that looks similiar to a previous one XD
We do manual zbrush sculpting, it means it's all by hand, so we didn't click on a "pose" we already used. Foot on thing pose for heroes is perhaps too common (to make the hero look taller and more imposing), thanks for your opinion!

These are great! Reason why I subbed. Keep it coming

Just a bit of feedback and hate for myself. This was my least favorite set released so far. I feel the leader character is the same pose and feel as the goblin leader. Also the terrain piece is uninspiring. Temper this with my lack of interest for more orcs, and there you go. The mount for this release is epic though. Super excited for next month.

The first one I printed I had some problems with them, but then I tried cleaning after using warm water on them per Greg's video and the others have all gone fine.

Has anyone else had issues with the pre-supported files, the supports are really damaging the model so I am sure I am doing something wrong.

Pretty new to resin printing, would folks suggest hollowing Warugo? Looks like there is are a couple pockets that will be small pockets in the legs that would be tough to drain if I did. Thanks!

Love the sculpt of the Warugo onibeast. Would love it even more if it came in different poses so I could make a 3/4 size beastpack out of them ...

Is there any plan to revise the supports on Marko? I've found the supports for the mace to be overkill and hard to remove without braking the mace off (I've broken 2 of 3). All other supports are excellent, but these seem to be the exception.
2020-05-21 04:17:33 +0000 UTC
Are there bases for the Vulpeana and Marko models? or do they just use generic bases?

What % scale is everyone using to get to 28mm? Any issued with the supports when you scale the stl?
2020-05-18 18:23:52 +0000 UTC
Nice work. Besides the addition of Vulpeana and Marko, and I notice that a lot of the 5/4 models are different from the original 4/25 release. Do you have a changelog? What's different? Are these changes to address the misprint mentioned above?

They are not supposed to auto-hollow. If you want to do that you have to hollow them yourself. Sometimes some models come pre-hollowed.

Hello! I've just joined this incredible journey, your prints are completely awesome!! I've printed some of the free ones found on thingverse and got absolutely charmed by your style. Now a problem appeared, I am trying to download the pack from the link provided but the speed is really slow, and downloading all the pack would take 1 full day, also after some hours the download fails, is this normal can anybody help me?

Are these models supposed to auto hollow? The supports are support only not pre set for this right?

Thanks for the supports!

Hiya Greg. I'm not sure what you fixed, but FYI I noticed what appears to be a misplaced support on one of the dolls at the front (large vertical support showing within the model between the head and shoulder of the doll) on the original supported file, and it's still there with your update.

Thanks Mark!
Our releases are consistent and heavy on file size. For this reason MMF can't actually provide us the service of selling pre-supported version too: it would work only for single figurine or supersmall bundle.
We are waiting for them to make a major update on their system so we can sell FULL BUNDLES including mounted hero etc, eventually even pre-supported models.
With the current system we can't even upload folders, so everything would be just thrown in a single location, it sound terrible :/

Over the last two days I've fired up my Photon S for the first time this year and tried printing a couple of the pre-supported figures scaled to 87.5% for 28mm. The female Oni Kyogin had a misprint on one calf, and the two female Oni Grunts printed flawlessly. I've been printing wargaming scenery on FDM printers for years, but this is really my first real dive into resin figure printing.
I'm impressed. Both by the quality of the scupts and the relative ease of printing. One thing learned is that initial cleanup of the figure when removed from the build plate is *critical*, and that a set of cheap soft toothbrushes is a definite requirement along with a good backstock of nitrile gloves (which are hard to get at the moment for some reason). Learning how to add good supports is next on the list.
Note that I would definitely be interested in throwing a bit of money - within reason - to get pre-supported sets of the back catalog. Hint Hint!

Hello!! I just became a supporter, got the Oni clan files, and between yesterday and today printed out four of the pre-supported figures, including the mounted version of Yoshigruzu. I cannot emphasise enough the AWESOME experience I had printing and finishing these pre-supported models. These are the VERY BEST sculpts and supports I have ever seen, and they printed flawlessly in my Elegoo Mars using the water-washable resin. The amount of leftover support bits is incredibly minimum, and again, this is just so very awesome I don't even have enough words of praise. Count me in for a long time as a supporter, and many, many thanks for your incredible work.
2020-05-04 19:30:50 +0000 UTC
The presupports are amazing. I don't have very much free time to do 3d printing, and building supports has been the biggest blocker to this. Having presupported models is incredibly helpful. Thank youuuu!

I just want to say thank you for the supported files, and I'll be continuing on that tier when the time comes. Greg always does a gret job supporting the models, and I have never had any problems with his work and I print at 240 lift and 300 retract speed with no issues at all. I put some models from another patreon with presupported also, and none of them were 100%, only the Artisan's guild. Thanks again, Greg and Thanks also for teaching me everything I know about successfully supporting models too. You made the learning curve small.

You get supported STL, what is stopping you from clicking the Hollow button in Chitubox?
With a minimum wall of say, 1,5mm it won't hollow the supports.

I agree with you on a lot of what you said but what you are requesting in my opinion is a bit impossible. I say this because they have no idea what grid everyone is using. The entire point of 3d printing is to print and size things to fit your needs and with everyone wanting different sizes it wouldn't make any sense to attempt this from a business perspective.

Aloha. First of all, very good work and very support friendly. I still prefer mine, as I add hands and weapons beforehand - pun intended ^^
That being said, this release as a bit weird with the base and body sizes, again. I know you produce bigger miniatures, above hero size, rather GW size, but even then the bases are either PERFECT for D&D or just too large / in between the next sizes.
It's...a bit tiresome, often.
I know I'll be mostly alone, but I'd love you guys to use this: MiniScaler_v2
You can find it on Thingieverse. At least for the bases. I don't mind bigger minis at all, I "hate" 28mm as they are so tiny. But at the very least, please use this ruler + base indication to make your releases fit on our battle grids :)
Thank you! <3
