Hi guys! And welcome to a new exciting month at Artisan Guild!
This month for the first time, everyone will get his hands over the Pre-Supported models once the release is out in 1/2 days. Of course the regular STL will be also available as always! If you have pledged during April (based on Patreon timezone) but you hadn't the time to download the Set, please send us a private message here on Patreon, we will sort it out!
It's now time to vote for the release coming in June. As for this month, the Oni Clan will be available reeeeally soon, along with two super cool extra heroes!
We are really excited to announce that we are currently testing The Ashen Throne, our role playing game. We are working on it since 2008! We are not launching an open beta at the moment, we need additional testing before translating into english.
It features a completely new system and it's based on our universe of course.
The fourth option in this Poll will be really useful once the game it's out, check it's quick description below :)
Themes Descriptions
And here a simple description on each theme models. Please remember that these factions/races are not based on existing settings, we are building up our universe that will be used for a Role-Playing Game (cuttently in alpha testing).
As we develop the theme concept we possibly make some little changes.
Worshipers of the ancient Shapeshifter God Melmor, the Kobolds are ignoble lizard-dog horned demons who move around hopping on two legs. These short wicked monsters infest mines by stealing precious minerals and replacing it with toxic ones in order to spread the plague of their god. Kobolds love to make fun of larger creatures by making horrible mockeries, like replacing children in their beds with Kobold puppies; to enter unnoticed human towns, they use their innate ability to shift into dogs. Additionally to mines, cities with sewage systems are teeming with these evil beings. Kobolds are very keen: few of them can boast great Arcane powers and many of them become expert thieves. No adventurer, initiate or veteran, should ever underestimate a Kobold.- Bear-Tribe Great Goblins
We like the idea goblin of any size and variety. Great Goblins from the Bear-tribe are the biggest mountain goblinoids in our universe, towering creatures with a fair amount of fur. They live in the mountains, and survive raiding human settlements, otherwise working as mercenaries for Orcs or evil barons from time to time. Great Goblins are less smart than tinkerer goblins from the Sparksoot Tribe, but are disciplined enough to have a strict military society and assemble little armies. Most of their equipment and armors will be scavanged from human resources, such horse metal armor here and there, peasant cloths and so on. Door as shield could be an idea! - Eye-Cult Gryphkin
Gryphkins are the people of the wind and the sky. These six-limbed creatures are covered in feathers and capable of great cunning and agility. The Cult of the Eye, however, is the most esoteric group of Gryphkins. They seek a powerful artifact called Eye of Tialevor, and their perpetual quest to obtain it has corrupted their hearts and appearence. - Scourgeland Survivors
This Set will be really useful as we will launch our Role Playing Game (currently in alpha).
Scourgelands, Ashen Era. This place was called the Great Arverian Wood centuries ago, but things suddenly changed. (trying to be quick...) Here, the struggle between the forces of good and evil has already taken place. Tialevor, along with his Ashen Alfar, is the terrifying Tyrant-God who subjugated most of the of world and finally won the war against the free people with the release of a cataclysm. Most of the ancient forests are now desert of ashes, called the Scourgelands. He now sits on the Ash Throne, built with the ashes and bones of the ancient Dragon-God Ghaomir, who fought the last battle on the side of the free people.
Here in the Scourgelands, the tribes of human survivors struggle for survival in these inhospitable ashen lands. There will be no battle between good and evil: only the fight to survive against hunger, the ash-storms and the Zeek, the monstrous arthropods of chitin that reign undisputed in the wild lands. This Set will is composed by an assortment of Scourgeland Survivors humans who adapted to live as nomads in these ashen lands. Some of them will be Hunter, few will be Egg-Thieves (stealing giant Zeek eggs in the most dangerous places to feed their tribe) or Zeek smugglers (steling Zeek lifestock breed from the Ashen Alfar). One Hero will be surely the old Wise Woman, who lead the tribe, teach the children how to survive and have the skills to cast some shamanic spells. Most of their equipment will be made of Zeek chitin, one of the only resources available in their environment. The beast will be probably a specific Zeek that work as mount.
Oh, and by the way, being the Scourgeland an harsh desert with shells of ancient gigantic Zeek here and there, some of them had been converted into taverns. Like you enter the dead shell of a gigantic arthropod, inside it there are downstair leading to a huge inn, with places to drink, sleep, mercenaries of any sort and so on. Perfect place to start an adventure in the Ashen Throne role playing game. The Zeek Shell Tavern (at least exterior!) will be the Terrain piece if this faction win.

One of the Scourgeland taverns.
About the topic "what's in the Poll", there are no rules on what gets out and what get reworked. We are simply sketching what we are inspired to sculpt. How many Sculpts will be part of the winning theme? As always, once we choose a theme thanks to this Poll we will spend the month to further develop/improve the core concepts and create the following sculpts, both in regular STL and presupported version:
- 6 Modular Miniatures with Swappable Weapons, for various combinations!
- Standalone Weapons for Loot, customization and our Weapon Racks!
- 2 "Over-the-Top" Hero Miniatures.
- 1 Mounted version of a Hero.
- The Riderless Mount as standalone Beast.
- 1 "Beauty of the Month", suitable as Miniature or display collectable.
- A Scatter Terrain themed on the release.
- A Sculpted special Base for each Miniature.
Wait, we have 2 Massive Discount Codes for a limited time!
- ARTISANCOLLECTION - 30% on all our previous releases 1 to 10 each month.
- AGMAY50 - 50% on the last wave of Amazons + Orcs. Till the end of the month.

Comments
Not that I've ever voted for them, but can we get a sliver more information regarding the Gryphkin? If they're ever successful, will they all look evil and vicious? Or could I also use some for NPC Aarakocra with them giving off a vibe of "Im gonna cut you"? What mount would you have in mind for them? And only now reading about them, I assume you've already got great ideas for them since their lore is tied in with your current Goal packages/Tialevor. Thanks for your amazing work.

2020-05-21 23:42:43 +0000 UTCI would really like to see something Fae / Fairy, You can do pixies, Redcaps, a Giant Fae Dragon / Butterfly Dragon.

2020-05-16 19:41:49 +0000 UTCBring the Ironskin Ogres back to the poll for July, please!
2020-05-15 21:14:16 +0000 UTCHopefully the Kobolds come up trumps some time, I have a campaign idea I want to try out and it is always nice to trot out good miniatures. Though my players are terrified of the thought of me bringing out the Terrasque.

2020-05-12 08:40:16 +0000 UTCWhat do I have to do to get people to vote for bear tribe goblins 😭
2020-05-09 13:25:06 +0000 UTCThe idea of a chitin/ insect based weapon pack alone is something to look forward to.
Glitterwolf
2020-05-07 17:02:53 +0000 UTCIf they are on the vote for July I will vote for em.
2020-05-07 03:22:33 +0000 UTCI am beyond excited for some Scourgeland Survivors. Can't wait to see what there will be. Too Excited. Miss the poll for some reason lol.
2020-05-07 02:51:39 +0000 UTCMy poor plague-mine kobolds :( I fear they'll never see the light of day :(

2020-05-04 16:18:50 +0000 UTCCan't answer everyone, but in short, Morrowind was part of our inspiration. But as Conan, the hundreds serie (the earthling faction), the Dark Sun setting, STARSHIP TROOPERS and so on. I always loved Monster Hunter like armors made from insects (vespoid anyone?), you can see that from our Depth Ones release. Also to change the common thing in my game I wanted a huge cataclysm in my setting, for the people to start from scratch. Having huge monstruosities from the depths above the groud, that is more like a surface underdark is something we were really excited to build. Morrowind island have some ash, but confronted with this is a walk in the park.
Artisan Guild
2020-05-04 15:03:38 +0000 UTCMorrowind ripoff? In that case even D&D dwarves would be "the Hobbit" ripoff, not to mention all the rest of fantasy and brands. Morrowind has inspired us, but these humans (not dark elves) have more in common with the earthlings from the serie "the 100" and the Dark Sun setting, STARSHIP TROOPERS and so on. I always loved Monster Hunter like armors made from insects (vespoid anyone?), you can see that from our Depth Ones release. Also to change the common thing in my game I wanted a huge cataclysm in my setting, for the people to start from scratch. 2020-05-04 15:00:22 +0000 UTCWhile Morrowind partially inspired this theme it will not be a morrowind set. It will be a unique setting in a completely different world. Also these will be mostly humans, not a sort of elves :) They are more inspired by "the 100" serie, the earthling faction
Artisan Guild
2020-05-04 14:58:24 +0000 UTCI would love to see a catfolk/tabaxi themed set at some point. Can never find a good tabaxi group of models.

2020-05-04 13:12:45 +0000 UTCI agree with Glitterwolf, because I've checked and rechecked many times. I've wanted some Ash dweller minis for years now. A dream!
2020-05-03 21:21:06 +0000 UTCIts not named after anything in the game so can't do anything about it. Bethesda can't leave a room without prat falling so doubt they would bother.
Marti3P
2020-05-03 18:11:30 +0000 UTCAs far as I know there aren't any Morrowind like miniatures out there, I welcome this. But I would also love any of the other options.
Glitterwolf
2020-05-03 18:07:26 +0000 UTCand morrowind is a blatant rip off of all fantasy before it so dont worry about it.
Logician
2020-05-03 16:46:55 +0000 UTCbtw..pretty blatant ripoff of morrowind.. would hate to see legal trouble over that O.0

2020-05-02 15:24:26 +0000 UTClets go bugbears
Trevor
2020-05-02 15:21:27 +0000 UTCNot to put the cart before the horse (or Silt Strider in this case), but I hope we get a Scourgeland Survivors themed option in the next epic boss poll.
Mike Lea
2020-05-02 13:47:25 +0000 UTCGo Go Goblins!
2020-05-02 13:38:00 +0000 UTCOthers have already brought this up but I feel the need to mention it again anyway :P. The Morrowind-like feel of the Scourgeland Survivors really does it for me. When I played that game for the first time it was like nothing I had ever seen. it was such a strange mix of fantasy And sci-fi, familiar yet alien. the ability to physically bring something like that to the tabletop is really compelling to me.
Mike Lea
2020-05-02 13:30:30 +0000 UTCugh. Scourgeland Survivors? maybe I''ll like the design once I see it but I'm really disappointed its leading the poll by so much.

2020-05-02 06:05:59 +0000 UTCHonestly the pin up thing is the only part of this hobby that I don't really understand. I'd be totally fine if AG didn't do them at all.

2020-05-01 20:19:17 +0000 UTCMan I really want to see those Gryphkin, as they aren't a common sculpt and can be useful for many D&D representations. I also think the feathers and models themselves will be fun to paint.

2020-05-01 13:39:48 +0000 UTCI really really want to see ArtisanGuild´s take on creating Kobold miniatures, but they always seem to end up on the 2nd place. Still, I am not giving up hope. Some day they will win and my printer will run all month to create a whole army of them =)
