Alfar Work in Progress (3d Sketch, January files)

First of all please remember that this month Set, the Sparksoot Goblins is already out! Get your Goblins in this post!
We must admit we never liked elves too much, but doing a full immersion to a theme (or even better, a guild/tribe) each month is something always exciting and refreshing. Afterall it's not that we don't like elves, it's probably the common noble and well dressed elves that are not really exciting for us.
So here we are with our interpretaions of the elves, the Deepwood Alfar set. As we mentioned in the previous post (with a first 3d sketch), we really want to make these guys dangerous, raging and wild. Stepping in their forest is death sentence.
Take a look at our Goblin "modular" models, everyone have different pose, details and face. Same thing will happen with our modular Alfar: this one in the picture have for example a portion of her abdomen exposed, but it will not be like this for all the rest. We like variety and experimentation :)
We have 2 nice infos for you.
- This month the "Mount" of the month will come in 2 very distinctive versions, like we did for the Gryphsteed/Horse of the Fighters Guild.
- One hero is a Shapeshifter, so expect 2 versions of him (one of them will be his beast form).
I really hope you'll like our vision for "elf" people, at least for this little tribe. This is what inspire us most and we can't wait to make more and more sculpt for the January Set!

2019-12-09 19:44:19 +0000 UTCI noticed that you are planning to have different types of Alfar/Elves (if I understood correctly). Would you consider (not necessarily in the immediate future) having an Underdark Alfar set? The facial expression of the current models is already aggressive enough (in a good way) to be used equally for heroes and villains, so a Drow-like appearance would be a great expansion of this :)

2019-12-08 12:06:22 +0000 UTCNever think of elves being only the "Lord of the Rings" version of elves. They come in so many variations, I'd strongly recommend going into depth with Forgotten Realms. Moon Elves are the adventurous type, wild elves the one that you design right now etc. pp.

I guessing producing great work month after month and spending so many hours at it has really improved their details and work speed. Really liking the dynamic poses but hope we can get some not so angry faces in the future.

2019-12-07 22:39:44 +0000 UTC3500 patrons Goal was "modular weapons for heroes". It means that heroes will have their weapons available for any other troops. It's useful expecially if a hero is the only spellcaster or have a weapon you need for another model :) Or if you want to customize the hero. Of course it's still possible that we make a hero that have no space for modular balljoints or have different arms... for example the Tyrant Eye we did month ago
