Tyrant Eye Sketch POLL
Added 2019-07-14 22:52:10 +0000 UTCHello friends! As you might remember one of the 2 heroic models of the next month is a Tyrant Eye! We are sure that he's just taking advantage of their cooperation, and will eventually destroy his Depth Ones allies once he accomplish his task!

As always we started doing a lot of sketches (really quick ones, nothing elaborated). Removing the bad ones, mixing the best ones that were similiars we have now 2 early sketch designs and can't choose. Will you help us?
It will be a very short Poll, about 24h, because we really need to start sculpting this boss as soon as possible, so it can be ready for day 5 August with all his "allies".
The Tyrant Eye will have a flight stand (for trasparent resin option) that will be plugged in a base and on the monster itself. Eye will be fully 3d sculpted so you can easly paint it!
Thanks :)

Its so disappointing that generally all polls lean to the safe option. There are so many eye tyrant models out there with angry faces, so I decided to use a hot glue gun and make a mock up for the drawing i voted for (A): https://imgur.com/gallery/cB3dnmg ...Its really rough, but for hot glue its aight.

2019-07-17 03:14:33 +0000 UTCDefinitely like the thinker more than the rage beast. Jessy makes a good point with the possibility of keeping the eye half lidded to make it look more menacing. I'll be happy to add this to my beholder collection either way.

2019-07-15 15:55:59 +0000 UTCWhile I agree with people on the "keeping the beholder evil and scary looking", I think that the only thing that makes it look "goofy" or funny is the fact that the eye-lid is so open. If it had a more closed lid, in vein with the 2nd one, it would look much more menacing- almost slathering and hungry... but cant really tell till you get the sculpt, and I'll love whatever comes out! <3

2019-07-15 15:38:10 +0000 UTCI agree with the rest that chose B over A. Love the pose, but Beholders are super intelligent beings of pure evil (usually) and in most encounters need to look the part. I chose B!

2019-07-15 11:37:33 +0000 UTCNever seen a feral one before. They all look like bosses more or less.

2019-07-15 10:04:25 +0000 UTCI personally like B more, but I voted A, as there are many models out there that follow the Boss like mean look of B, so the Feral style would better accompany those. That said, the high quality and detail of your models is sure to make either a must print.

2019-07-15 09:37:47 +0000 UTCIn my mind beholders are an evil, calculating and very thought driven entity. Even though it was a hard choice since I love the action of A (and the thought of throwing a beholder gone feral at my players excites me), I had to go with B

2019-07-15 03:24:06 +0000 UTCA for Awesome!
2019-07-15 02:01:42 +0000 UTCMan, I want both!

2019-07-15 00:56:45 +0000 UTCI love both but I say A it’s different than your standard beholder pose. Either way tho there both awesome

2019-07-15 00:42:38 +0000 UTCI must admit that this was a hard choice to make, I like the wild one but the B version with its heavy armor plates, menacing mouth and overall look is the strongest drawing at this point. The A model does have a lot going for it but its wild action pose will be no match for the matured Tyrant with its control over its domain.

2019-07-14 23:52:57 +0000 UTCWhile I agree on dynamic poses really making the model B seems more imposing and more intelligent. Pose A makes me giggle a bit with the tongue and such. Again, I like both but if there were a bit more dynamism in the pose, B is more of a sure choice. I would like more of a more wider eye though and not as much evil slant. Just my 2 cents. Great work!

2019-07-14 23:31:27 +0000 UTCEye only see one posseeble option here, A is certainly the best choice.

2019-07-14 23:26:17 +0000 UTCProblem is, they both look a lot like the Beholder you can buy. This should be a death tyrant. Not many of those that are any good.

2019-07-14 23:16:07 +0000 UTCB is very generic beholder number 10. Poses makes the model and A is dynamic.

2019-07-14 23:05:39 +0000 UTCFeral is fun cause different from other available sculpts

2019-07-14 22:57:46 +0000 UTCwith 12 releases per year it's easy that we will use the other design for something else :) We are really happy you like them both!
