Also, at the end of each episode, I would watch the 'Inside the Episode' thing. It's like a 5 minute recap of the episode and the writers explain some things that may have been confusing. It's after when they show clips from the next episode so I would fast forward past that.

2023-12-29 20:16:59 +0000 UTCI LOVE the scenes between Arya and Tywin. They're so complex. I think they have as much scene chemistry as Tyrion and Cersei. Also, Tyrion, as the Hand of the King, has more authority than Cersei, the Queen Mother. Now that Joffery is King, Cersei is not the Queen, no matter what she thinks. And yes, Stannis' blood magic smoke baby killed Renly. I think Danerys is operating as everyone else, even Ned Stark. Ned said the next King should Stannis because he was Robert's older brother so he was next line. Ned didn't think Stannis should be king because he was a good person. That's how things work and Ned thinks things should work in order. Dany is from the same culture - the next person to sit on the throne is the next person in the succession. To Dany and Viserys, their dad had his throne stolen. A throne that had belonged to Dany's and Viserys' family for hundred of years. To THEM, of course Viserys is next in line. Dany decided Viserys was dangerous and had to die - so according to the customs of Westeros - Dany takes the throne next because succession is based on family name and ties. It was never who "deserves" to rule. Ned followed the same tradition as Dany.

2023-12-29 20:13:54 +0000 UTCYo first of all dope thanks for continuing. two please ignore all the complainers people who watched this when it first came out forget that everyone was watching it and unless you read the books no one understood 100% everything, but the fact that everyone was watching it you would go to work or talk to friends and everyone would swap info of stuff they noticed. usually one friend or someone at work had read the books and they would give deeper insight into stuff. The books were written in a way to make it almost impossible to make a show on it. That was literally George's goal after working a lifetime in tv, he was so sick of how simple things were that he was trying to make something so huge, vast, and complex almost in rebellion to his old tv work. So don't let what these losers say who nitpick get to you. The best part of the show when it was running was how many people were watching and all the conversations people would have coming up with theories many times based on a scene they missed or a character they misremembered.
