This is the Creation Stone, a carved menhir depicting the cosmogony or “creation myth” as it is better known. The main parts of the story are depicted in stylistic fashion on this boulders surface. On it we can see the sun god Leuada banishing dark lord, Támhas and the forging of the world from Támhas’ soulless form with the help of his wife and children. Next the war of heaven is depicted and finally, the goddess Mehters great deluge.
In the centre of the stone Leuada (the god of light) can be seen, above him is the goddess Mehter (goddess of birth, fertility, the great flood and the land-wights) and below is Támhas (the god of darkness and chaos) with his son Dhegoma (the dark broad earth). To Leuadas left is Woodir (the god of the streams and seas) and his brother Duneos (the sky father, the striker of oaks and cloud compeller). To Leuadas right, Firalah (goddess of the animal kingdom and hunting), her sisters Florawah (goddess of plant life, good harvest and music) and Swoma (goddess of fungi, sleep and mind-altering substances) are located. Going clockwise around the sacred stone carving are four scene depicting core parts of the Cosmogony which a bard or poet would fill in the gaps of the narrative between each frame orally before a crowd.
I know that’s a lot of information, but there will be illustrations and maps to help you make sense of the deep world of Concavia coming in the future.
The next instalment of Humanity Lost will be coming soon also, I’m working away on it currently. Thank you for the support guys and I hope you’re enjoying this extra content.
