2024-10-04 20:32:14 +0000 UTCThat’s essentially what Uthipidus went through, I have an arc planned for him where he is loosing control over his transmutation abilities, this past trauma of his contact with the All-mother could play into that, hold up this could be really interesting… Thanks for the idea Erika! I think a centipede would be getting a little too far away from what an Over-Father is, a Wyrm is pushing the limits but I think that could work still. Yeah the Over-Fathers are vastly more intelligent than all other life forms, but like I’ve said previously, I don’t believe that intelligence scales linearly, they’re highly developed in certain areas of the brain, primarily for psionic sensitivity.

2024-10-04 20:31:04 +0000 UTCI got an idea for a character. Their basically an Over-Father whose ascension happened during an assault on their womb-world by an alien species. This disruption to the ascension process caused them to become an insane and highly unstable individual. They managed to escape the aliens and began terrorizing ships and colonies all over the galaxy. I guess their character could be used to explore the sheer terror of being at the mercy of an entity that is more intelligent than you and to whom you are nothing but a plaything. Do you think the serpent design for an alternative Over-Father would be better if it had back legs which I think would make it a wyrm instead of a snake? Do you think a centipede design would be better. Also how much more intelligent are Over-Father's compared to aliens? Does their intellect make other species seem like ants in comparison?
