Sorry about the wait on this one, I ran into a bit of writers block with regards to how to depict this scene. I was flip flopping between this and just showing a single panel with Fliegrigel defeated and Deicide standing over him, but I couldn’t do him dirty like that. I ended up opting for a dedicated action page to taking him down, it also gave Uthipidus a chance to re-enter the narrative by doing something cool in taking down those aquatic scuba-drones and ultimately, an Over-Father.
I also had to do some research for this page. The ship that they’re in is filled with water, and I wanted to know how water would actually behave if there was a breach in the hull and it was exposed to hard vacuum. Now as far as I can tell, the area of the water that is directly exposed will boil and vaporise. The vapour would escape through the hole as air would and drag some water out with it, creating suction. The air that’s in the water would also dissolve out of the water and escape towards the exposed opening in the hull. The rush wouldn’t be too intense, but for narrative purposes, it’s enough to suck Fliegrigel towards the window.
The colours will most likely be complete tomorrow and along with them will come the lettering. The lettering will be as follows:
“I cloaked my mind, making it hard for Fliegrigel to get a reading on my location. He was cornered after the wormhole closure, with nowhere to run.“
“I burst past the guards to engage Fliegrigel, entrusting Uthipidus to clean up after me.”
“With Uthipidus’ help, we neutralised Fliegrigel and captured him.”
As always, thanks for your continued support! I couldn’t invest the time that I do into making Humanity Lost without you.
