Introducing the Xylomorphs (Commission for Ryan Bowers).

To avoid confusion, this is not in any way related to the Humanity Lost universe, it is instead a part of Ryan’s ongoing project titled “The People’s Of The Universe”.

here’s an introduction to the Xylomorphs:

The Xylomorphs are a race of carnivorous plants capable of interplanetary travel. They were first discovered by a UGA science vessel mid way through the 3470’s. The vessel’s intended target was the Dyson sphere that was constructed around the Xylomorphs’ host star. The Dyson sphere was aptly named “The Garden”.

The Garden is not much unlike the H’ul construct that gave rise to the Torosians.  

It is theorised that The Garden is some 70 million years old and is of H’ullian origin, but has since become the homeland of the Xylomorphs. The homes the Xylomorphs construct for themselves on The Garden take the form of open top walled buildings which have raised platforms around their inner edge, allowing for constant sunlight.   Their peculiar home world of course gave the Xylomorphs a head start when developing their technological tree. This led to some aspects of their society being severely underdeveloped while other areas shot up rapidly into outer space. For example, the Xylomorphs are still plagued by herbivores and are hunted regularly by them. A large percentage of their economy now comes from hunting tourism for aliens who wish to thin the herds of roaming herbivores.
