Added 2024-12-13 14:03:43 +0000 UTCIt sounds obvious when I say it this way, but: it's turning out to be very helpful to have introduced one of the fundamental conflicts more openly and obviously.
The 'secrecy vs openness' theme was present in the first drafts of the story - Yuuna telling the MC not to tell anyone about how powerful he was, for example - but having both sides laid out openly gives me more to work with.
Speaking of the MC, I'm debating renaming him. He's Daniel now, but there isn't any particular meaning attached to the name and I've already got a Dan in Magic Notebook. Hopefully I can figure out a name that speaks more strongly to his character.
