Master of One - Chapters 10-13
Added 2024-10-12 03:48:03 +0000 UTCI got a good amount of writing done, though the chapters are still relatively short. Daniel's relationship with Tif is starting to heat up, we got some action scene, and we got a lot of worldbuilding done, though, so it feels like the pace might be relatively close to what I want. I'm trying to avoid rushing things, but Daniel's voice is also somewhat straighter and more direct than Jack's and that means there's occasional chunks of sentences that I just delete entirely after writing because they're ultimately extraneous to his usual patterns of thought.
I currently have up through chapter 18 plotted out, but there's a couple key points I want to touch on before I wrap up the story of book 1, as well as two or three sex scenes I have in mind with Tif, so either I'm going to have to add some additional chapters or the chapters will be substantially longer than what we've seen so far.
I'm guessing the book will wrap up around 60-80k words, around half of Augur book 1's length in total, which is pretty close to what I set out to write.
I'm also on track to basically do NaNoWriMo a month early, which I didn't exactly intend. I'm not actually planning on participating in NaNoWriMo directly at all this year after their recent statements on AI in writing, so somehow doing that ahead of time feels like a pretty decent goal.
