Augur Book 3 Chapter 2

I played some video games, I watched some very funny TV, and I went to bed.
And then, as I tried to fall asleep, my mind wandered and I let it roam in a way that felt like it had been missing for a while.
There are several plot threads that I've left dangling in Augur throughout the chapters I've written so far. Some of them were pretty obvious - some of them, I even called out at the time - while others were left to the reader. Some of you have already pointed some of them out, have asked questions about what earlier statements meant.
I had every intention of revisiting them eventually, but didn't know the full details of exactly how.
And then, last night, I saw the throughline that connected several of them.
There are plot elements I still need to work in, ongoing events that need to be addressed, or explained, and consequences that will need to be explored, but I think I know at least the core of one of the major plotlines that has been hanging since the early chapters of book 1.
I'm not sure that I'll be able to maintain the momentum, but I wrote chapter 2 this morning, and I have a pretty good idea of what the next several chapters of book 3 will look like, as well as the overall shape of one of the stories I'm going to explore, and I'm wildly excited about getting to share it.
