There are great eps and arcs to come of course, but this was the peak of my favorite arc in the entire show. I remember how confused I was by the doctor's reaction to River saying "I am telling you." Now, of course, it seems much more obvious what was veing revealed. Also, the whole "we get the word for 'healer' from you...what might that word come to mean?" thing was a great addition to Wholore. 2024-06-01 17:01:38 +0000 UTCThe TARDIS actually told them all in The Doctor's Wife episode. She told Rory "The only water in the forest is the river" right before her human body gave out. I gotta say you have the best patrons, because I was worried someone would spoil that twist. Great on them for keeping the secret and wonderful of you for your reaction. 2024-05-27 13:38:31 +0000 UTCThe River = Melody plot twist is still my favourite plot twist in Doctor Who. Like....if you rewatch this episode, there were a couple of hints throughout. First it being Rivers birthday and Melodys birthday, second, River saying she can't be there until the end (something bad would likely happen if she tried to interact with her younger self and change what happens) and lastly that I can think of right now, the Doctor pointing and laughing when he meets baby Melody (remember when 10 met River and said 'I point and laugh at archaologists')

This one also cemented Matt Smith as my favorite doctor, I really love the funny persona with the dark side that he does so well. Also love any time that they put the theme music in an episode!

The River Song reveal is epic and The Doctor as always is wonderful. Knew you’d have a great reaction to this one and you didn’t disappoint.
