Edvin and Omar’s chemistry is something very special, I agree. 🫠 This is a tense episode with an ominous thread of social and ethnic issues running through it. Felice is struggling to express in a way that her friends will understand, that she feels that she is seen as ‘different’ and that’s often felt difficult. The so-called ‘diversity’ at the school is only lip-service if in reality, she’s treated differently from the others. Simon is trying to get Wille to be more aware of the class divide and the social issues that are brought up in the awkward camp fire discussion. The very first thing that Simon says in season 1 in class marks him as a ‘socialist’, looked down on by the elite boarders. Wille honestly tries to bridge the gulf by saying that he will be working during the summer too, but this only suggests to Simon and his friends that he’s unaware of his immense privilege. I think that when Wille gave his speech at the end of season 2, he thought that he was going to be able to be openly in a relationship with Simon but in reality, it was just the beginning of a difficult journey to a point where he’s going to have to choose between two mutually incompatible situations: being Crown Prince and then King, eventually or standing down from those positions and choosing a life with Simon. I think that up to now, he’s imagined that he could have both. The conversation between August and Nils about their initiation is also crucial, because hints at a very traumatic experience, one that may make us see August’s behaviour differently.

Most people after seeing the end of this episode seem to have a pretty strong opinion about one or the other boys being right in that argument and I love how you're just like "noooo don't fight" 🥺😂 Honestly same. I'm so glad we do get so many of their lovey moments too. I don't know what they put in that scene by the lockers after Wille joins the choir but watching it is like an injection of happiness (actually I do know what they put in it, it's Edvin & Omar's magical chemistry ✨) Also love your reaction every time Simon sings 💜 Looking forward to seeing your reactions to the rest of this season! Especially the finale 👀
